It all goes back to some years ago, while I was a stupid teenager doing stupid things.

Growing up on the internet, I was exposed to anime type of things before, I wasn’t exactly a stranger, but never got into it until the… “Incident”.

I was looking at a… not very good website doing stupid teenager things, more specifically on a website that had an X on it (not the platform formerly known as Twitter). When I found a reupload of a… not so good anime about a stony cat that shall not be named and forever remain in obscurity for being terrible in all conceivable ways.

Ahem, I decided to look up that anime on Google because I was invested in the story of the anime but the website I was uh… utilizing, only had 1 episode. And at that point, when I started to watch that anime, my fate was sealed.

I wasn't very picky with genres at the start, everything was still very new to me, so I ended up going wild and watched a bunch of stuff (Questionable things included) which… I feel pretty green about it… that means I’m not proud of it.

But hey, stupid teenagers do stupid stuff, better left that forgotten. I’m much better than what I was before.

Today I have a much more refined taste in this medium, the only type of content I tend to avoid is the one which has “Ecchi”. I don’t find that entertaining or funny at all, everytime anime/ manga try to pull off this kind of content, I just skip to the next page/ skip 10 seconds on the episode.

My Tastes In Manga are pretty much the same as Anime, these things go hand and hand.

Funny story though, I started reading manga out of sheer disappointment for an anime back in the day.

The anime adaptation was so disappointing and had such a bad ending, that I felt compelled to seek out the manga and read everything. I ended up discovering the insane world of mangas shortly after finishing that series.

What was the series? -Don’t worry about it!

Unlike my anime experience, it took me to REALLY get into manga. But nowadays, I read more manga than watch anime funnily enough. I read a bunch of recommendation from a friend.

Finding something I really like takes some good luck though…

I much prefer reading something at my own pace than sitting down to watch a 24 minute episode.

I want to say I have a Favorite Genre, but I really can’t tell what it is.

Anilist tells me it’s comedy/ slice of life, but I suspect that's not correct either, because I don’t like some aspects of those genres…

My previous answer to this question was "romantic comedy” but I don’t think it is anymore.

I just… like a good story?

Oh well, it doesn't really matter what genre I’m bound to as long as I’m having fun.
