Greetings!
Hello traveler, welcome to a new status archive blog post!
Let's get to the juicy stuff now and not spend too much time on introductions!
WEBSITE UPDATES
What's new to the website?
Well the website is a new feature on the website!
A lot has changed in the main pages since last time, so let's begin discussing it.
The About me page and the interest page were mixed into one and are now better written and somewhat fun. There's a proper introduction to the website and webmaster and it's much more comprehensible.
The games page has been rewritten too, now actually includes my tastes in game, some history of this hobby and it's a better read overall!
Pudd in blissful ignorance as the website shelf is falling.
New to the website now is: Anime/Manga page!
This is the replacement for the page that used to be known as "Music page". I decided to make this change because I'm way better at talking about this topic than music, I know close to nothing about music lol. That page has my taste in that medium and a bit of history on how I discovered anime/manga.
Make sure to read it!
Oh yeah, do you like the new space for the now named Blog Posts?
I wanted to put all the status update posts all in one place, and incorporate it into the main pages. After all, they have become a core part of my website and yet they were tucked away deep in links. I think it looks good! Plus you still have the option to see the pages in full screen so nothing is lost.
All with more quirky writing and actual explanations instead of a cringy one liner! They still serve the same purpose they did before thought.
Unrelated doodle of God's Club characters with twintails.
ONE-SHOT MANGA OF THE DAY
Nick & Lever
One-shot Manga made by Miyata Kyogorou.
Synopsis: Nick and Lever, the duo of Americans living in Japan doing wacky and nonsensical things!
Art and presentation: The art is simply a masterpiece. It's a super realistic style but with just enough cartoon mixed in to make it fantastical. It doesn't shy away from being goofy and slapstick too.
Why you should read it: It's one of the funniest manga you will ever read. The amount of burst of laughter this duo will reap from you is simply criminal! And sometimes it can even be super wholesome and cute!
Score: 5/5! One of the best comedy manga I ever read in the medium. I absolutely recommend it to anyone!
LIFE UPDATES
Not a lot has happened in the past few days, but I'll talk about it regardless because that's my thing!
Starting off with the first canon event: Adventures in Fontaine continues.
I have made a lot of good progress in the region of Fontaine in Genshin Impact. After so much desert and sand, it's so refreshing to explore the underwater structures and the expansive green and mountains of this region.
The 4.1 Trailer also got me really hyped for the upcoming continuation of the story, the music and voice acting was on point! And I'm hoping to get Wriothesley and build him, he looks so cool with throwing punches.
Collei taking notes on Fontaine.
Now for something completely insane and nonsensical: Nyaruru Fishy Fight!
Have you ever seen a game that, judging by it's cover, looks to be a super shitty cash grab, but when you play it… It's one of the best games of the genre.
That's my experience with Nyaruru Fishy Fight.
The game is a metroidvania available on steam, it has a mask of an overly "cute" artstyle(max amount of details while trying to be cute.) While being one of the best games of the genre. This game is deceptively hard, but the selling point is: the movement.
This is not the type of metroidvania to hold the movement upgrades until you progress the story. No, you can go anywhere and get all the upgrades before you even engage with the first boss! And let me tell you, these upgrades give you so much mobility and ways to fight that it becomes kinda overwhelming.
This game wears the Rabi-Ribi inspiration on its sleeves, but I think it still does a lot of unique things that separates the two. Aside from the poor English translation, I recommend you play this game, it's great!
This game has no reason to be this good.
Moving on from that, recently a new Team Fortress 2: Mann vs Machine community event and I of course played it. I'm a huge fan of that game mode.
And I was decently surprised by the content it offers. Not only are the missions hard but fair missions to tackle, but there's also new custom made upgrades and some even have weapons!
These upgrades and weapons completely change the way you interact with the game!
A group of happy engineers.
Some of these missions have custom boss fights! Not just like "big robot that shoots a strong gun", no no no, These were actual engaging multi-phase boss fights with gimmicks to boot.
If you told me that this was the future of Mann vs Machine custom content a few years ago, I would've laughed and called you a lunatic.
Regardless, I'm having so much with this and I'll try to complete all the missions for the prestige of 100%.
D:
And last but not least: I watched 5-toubun no Hanayome! (The Quintessential Quintuplets.)
Before I get to talk about it, let me give you the reason why I watched it, it's a little interesting.
Okay so, this was at first a recommendation of Miya, the one and only best artist and a good friend. They have been trying to get me to watch this for a looooooong time. I'm not a fan of harem anime, most of the time characters are just one dimensional tropes solly meant to exist for a single character that is the blandest guy you will ever see. The concept is… fine I guess, but what I take issue with is, the characters being bad.
My interest for this one in particular peaked when Miya talked about how the characters were actually characters, and the male protagonist wasn't just a wimp with no personality.
So I decided to watch and in return he would read Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru! (This Art Club has a Problem!), Which he did not even to this day. (Note: this is likely fiction made up in Pudding's head. He doesn't remember making a deal such as this and just found it funny to make shit up.)
So I went in with very low expectations.
What did I think about?
Well, I thought it was great!
Of course it has the typical tropes of the harem genre of putting a little too much emphasis on the girls. But aside from that, the conflicts feel believable, the characters have chemistry and are fun. Our male protagonist is not a wimp and actually is quite funny, and there's a lot of clever writing choices through its scenes. There's a lot to like about it and I was surprised. My favorite of the quintuplets is Ichika by the way.
That said, Season 2 was put on hold for me because I need to read another Miya recommendation called Shugo Chara. Which I'm still reading by the way, I'm just slow you know.
One special mention goes to Nick & Lever again for making me burst out laughing in public and proceeding to make another shameful moment to store in the memory bank.
That is it for today's blog entry!
I'm glad I was able to achieve everything I wanted to do this month. I feel very satisfied!
I thought I wasn't gonna be able to do it but I prevailed once again!
SONG OF THE DAY
The song of the day is Incommunicable Message from Rockstar Busters!. This was a recommendation by Miya that I just fell in love with. I love the melodramatic songs portrayed by the rock genre, it's such a great thing to listen to. I don't know anything of what Little Busters is about but this remix does push me to learn more about it.
That is all, see you on the next 5!

Howdy!
I'm Puddy!
Puddy the Pudding!
Hee hee hee…
Why'd you make me introduce myself?
It's rude to act like you don't know who I am.
Someone ought to teach you proper manners.
I guess little old me will have to do.
Ready?
Here we go!
showers you with friendliness pellets.
…
…
…
Uh…
Well this is awkward… I don't know how to tie that in with the status update… I guess I should begin the status update now…?
WEBSITE UPDATES
Starting with the big ones, the misc page is now different!
The first page to be changed and the most important, it is now properly separated and coherent! Contact, Media, Art and Fun/ Other things, all the silly pages I had no where to place, found their place in the misc page!
I also removed and moved around some of the links to other pages where it would be more fitting, too many links can be a bad thing!
And to minor changes, I changed a few colors and did some minor improvements to a bunch of pages, to keep things up to standard!
There's still a lot for me to do! Doesn't help that I've been kinda slacking for the past few days… but I'll do everything in time, I (sometimes) always do!
Look at this doodle about Pudd:
It seems Pudd found her new home.
Awesome right?
She finally has a new home!
Anyway, check out this fanart of Phoenix Club!
Made by Miya.
I'll make sure I show off any fanart I receive of my works!
If you make one, send to me on Discord!
This also reminds me, I made fanart too!
Hold your breath, because we will be going to water!
Water type Miku!
This is the world famous Hatsune Miku, from Project VOLTAGE. I'll be honest, I have no idea what that project is about, I'm not a Pokemon fan. But I do like the designs of Hatsune Miku based on different elements of that franchise, that's pretty cool. So I picked my favorite and doodled it!
And that's it for the website updates!
ONE-SHOT OF THE DAY
Unlucky Boy, Undead Girl
One-shot made by Sou Tobita.
Synopsis: Tsukasa is a very unlucky man, his misfortune can rub off into the people around him, often causing incredibly unfortunate fatal accidents to everyone. He, however, is unable to die and during one of these unlucky accidents, he saves an unusual girl that is not bothered by his misfortunate.
Art and presentation: This manga has a very… interesting art style. It's by no means bad, it just takes a bit of time to get used to it. But, it's a very effective art style, the author was able to convey so much emotion through character expressions, it's so impressive!
Why you should read it: This is a love story, and a very amazing one at that! Tsukasa can't make connections with other people due to his often fatal misfortune, but after that fateful encounter, his outlook begins to change. Going so far as throwing himself into danger to protect her! That's really beautiful.
Score: 4/5! It gets a minor reduction due to art style being a little weird sometimes, but it's a great one-shot you should read!
LIFE UPDATES
To start off this section, I would like to talk about one of my new favorite manga of all time: Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru! (This Art Club Has a Problem!).
"Why is this your new favorite?" You may ask.
Well let me tell you why, it's… THE MOST HYSTERICAL THING I EVER READ! And also has a lot of heart put into it. A cast of loveable characters, it has an ongoing story and the comedy is some of the best I ever read in this corner of entertainment! How can I not love this!
Oh yea, I haven't talked about what exactly it is!
Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru! is the story about Mizuki Usami and the art club she is a part of. She has feelings towards one of the members of the club called Uchimaki, but he is completely oblivious to this. Why? Because he has a mission! A mission to make the best 2d bride!...??? Hijinks issue with the other 2 members as Usami, ever so slowly, gets closer to Uchimaki!
Go read it! It's an amazing gem!
Click below to see the anilist page about it!
Manga made by Muru Imigi.
Moving on from that we have.
The Honkai: Star Rail segment!
They released an expansion to their late game mode called Simulated Universe: Swarm Disaster. And this is the best thing to happen to this game! Not because of the rewards too! (They gave way too many resources, I still feel kind of overwhelmed!)
It's the best thing because it's difficult and very satisfying replayable content! Simulated Universe was already great with the amount of options it gave you from each to make your build. Swarm Disaster cranks that to eleven.
The objective is to not do as much damage as possible! No, no, no, the final boss will kill you before you get the chance to attack! The objective is to survive so you can stand up to the boss!
At the highest difficulty, you need to use the strengths of the path you choose at the start and use all the resources you are given wisely to win. This is my favorite kind of game, I love resource management games!
Or you can just pick the path of Abundance and win lol. (It's way too easy to survive with the amount of healing abundance gives.)
Unrelated photo, "Managing sure is hard…".
Moving on from gacha, we got the ending of the playthrough of Calamity Mod with my friend!
There's not much to be said other than it was super fun. I would recommend if you have a friend that plays Terraria to play this mod with them! It may be buggy in multiplayer sometimes, but it's a blast.
The songs of the mod are also outstanding too! DM Dokuro never misses.
Can you figure out what's going on?
At least we have reached the last topic of today: tRrLM(); //Void Terrarium 2.
I finally finished it, so it's time for my full thoughts on it! Spoilers ahead!
Let me get this out right off the bat, tRrLM(); //Void Terrarium 2 is a good sequel.
The game is tougher and they gave most of the items a purpose to exist. Weapons are much more fun to use with the new leveling system, there's more areas to explore and many quality of life improvements.
But there's some flaws on this new sequel, there's almost no new items to use, the game can feel super repetitive sometimes, there's some new mechanics introduced such as .5 floors and the terrarium moods that aren't explored as they should be, most level up skills feel less impactful/ or niche and the sorta drags towards the ending part.
One thing I liked was the new virtual world introduced in this entry. You can explore humanity a little bit before they were almost wiped out, and there's some fun side quests and things to do there. It's very cool but I got really lost the more it progressed, the virtual world felt a little rushed and a little too nonsensical for what was supposed to be the last moments of humanity.
The endings are great though! As expected of such a dark setting, the endings are all bittersweet. There's the true and false ending, they are determined by one decision you make in the last chapter.
The true ending leads to Toriko being taken away and finally reunited with her parents in the virtual world.
The false ending, you find the cure to her illness left by their parents before dying and cure her… But no human can survive in this environment. She got to be human again for a few moments… Before succumbing to the same thing that wiped humanity.
Bittersweet endings, as expected. I like that the selfish option is the worse ending of the two.
I would recommend playing it, but it has some flaws that can be bothersome sometimes.
Its a 4/5 from me!
I accidently gave an really long boost status effect to the boss and almost lost because of it!
And that's all I wanted to talk about!
It's quite a lot of text isn't it?
I wanted to fully express my thoughts on each topic, something I have been lacking on doing. It's more fun than just recaping things!
SONG OF THE DAY
The music of the day is Waterfall from Undertale, one of my favorite songs from this amazing game that is celebrating its 8th birthday today! I have so many good memories with it, but I'll spare you from reading more words. Thank you Toby Fox for creating such a wonderful game.
05/09/2023
Hi-ya!
The 5th has arrived and you know what time it is!
Status Update time!
It felt like a long wait this time didn't it?
Well let us begin!
WEBSITE UPDATES
The first change to the website was a new pixel art!
I made a pixel art of THE Hatsune Miku for her birthday! That's right, the creator of minecraft and allegedly owner of the world herself!
Look at it:
Miss Migu herself.
That was quite fun.
On the same day, I put up a new chapter for Phoenix Club! I told you I would do it all in time! You can go read by clicking it!
Unrelated doodle I made of Seiko and Chie with swapped hair.
Thanks again to my editor Miya for being diligent and helping me! Go check their website!
I also stopped forgetting to fix the title images! That's right, they were broken because I kept forgetting to fix them after the change from chapter to parts. Ehe~☆
There's one thing I would like to talk about before finishing off this segment, the website's birthday is soon approaching!
What can you expect from it? Well, a complete rewrite of all main pages! I'm very different from the person that wrote them back then, so they need to be refreshed!
There will be many more changes to make it more coherent too!
Pudd has much to prepare.
And that's it for website updates!
ONE-SHOT OF THE DAY
Parasol Doumei
Parasol Alliance
One-shot made by Kouji Miura.
Synopsis: Narita Ten gathers all his strength to confess to his crush, Kinomoto Yuzu, but accidentally confesses to her twin sister, Kinomoto Karin, who has a crush on his twin brother Narita Haru! They find common grounds in being the lacking twin sibling and form an alliance to learn more about their crush. But are things as they seem?
Art and presentation: This One-shot has a very cute art style! During scenes with a lot of emotional power, the art takes a more detailed approach, showing exactly how a character feels at that moment. While in the opposite, the scenes of comedy and more goofy feels are drawn more freely and with a lack of direction, It was pretty charming! I personally liked the parasol framing during the last few pages!
Why you should read it: It's a simple and cute love story, it's fun and makes you smile all the way through! Has loveable characters and the story is great. The ending is also a big change of pace!
Score: 5/5! Super cute and this one-shot will be stuck in your head like it did in mine!
LIFE UPDATES
Right after finishing writing the previous status update, I went to see the Archon Quest for Fontaine in Genshin Impact.
I finished it in a few days and what did I think of it? Well, I absolutely loved it! Fontaine was a region I have been looking forward to for a looooooong time, and I'm so glad they nailed it with the story!
The pacing is great, the characters were so fun, the story was very interesting and the hydro archon was amazing! What really captivated me during this story was Navia and her struggle to figure out the message her father passed to her before dying in a duel. I don't like the geo element, but I'll spend my wishes on her. I enjoyed her character a lot! I also liked that the writer's didn't hold back on delving into deeper topics. That last cutscene where the killer is finally confronted by his victims was so chilling and amazing, I never expected Genshin Impact of all games to pull something like that!
Exploration has also been enjoyable, underwater combat is fun and I like the little details and quests scattered around.
Lumine enjoying the bus ride.
Another thing I have been doing is playing Terraria mod called Calamity Mod with a friend! We spend like, 8 hours straight at minimum per play session and it's super fun! It starts with: "oh let's do this then this and then this…" never actually stopping from finding things to do and spending a large amount of time in one session!
This mod enhances the base game a lot and I recommend anyone that played and liked Terraria to play this mod!
Look at my collection of pets!
Progress on void tRrLM(); //Void Terrarium 2 has been steady too!
I believe I'm reaching the end of the game so expect my thoughts about it in the next update! But it has been fun so far!
For now have this:
Accomplishing one of Toriko's wishes
SONG OF THE DAY
The song is Destr0yer (Acoustic Instrument) by Sakuzyo, I absolutely love how this song sounds and I'm sure you would enjoy it too! Sakuzyo never misses!
