Helo!

It's the spooky end to October!

Time to cap off this month that has been quite busy for… MANY different reasons.

The topics for this blog are: Phoenix Club Chapters 6 - 9 Progress, ONE PIECE novel A, Scream Fortress XVI and Metroid Dread!

Spoiler for all those topics!

There's a lot to cover so let's start right away!

WEBSITE UPDATES

The Website Has a New Host!

As outlined in the previous post, this website is now being hosted in Nekoweb!

I had a lot of trouble getting all this together, since my website is kind of… too big…

I basically went through every single page (yes, including the billion secret ones!) fixing all links, images and texts. A process that took about 3-4 days just by itself. This is also the reason for the previous blog update being very tiny and lite.

Everything should be working perfectly fine, but if you find something I miss, please go to the Misc Page and contact me about it!

I do have some worries with this new host, but I'll stay here for a few months and then make a judgment with time. At the very least, this situation led to MANY improvements to COUNTLESS pages and css files for the entire website! Improving all these old pages and making sure they are not reliant on any host was definitely a rewarding experience, it was a clear message to myself that I did get better at coding over these 2 years.

I'm Pudd, the Fixer!

Phoenix Club Progress Check!

Things have been going FANTASTICALLY well!

Here, this how work has been done so far:

First Draft of Chapter 6 to 9 - 100%;

Editor's Review of Chapter 6 to 9 - 75%;

Final Draft of Chapter 6 to 9 - 75%;

Editor's Corrections of Chapter 6 to 9 - 0%.

This averages out to about 63~ progress done! I would say this is a good pace.

I received a lot of valuable criticism from my editor for these chapters, it's my first actually opening my wings and showcasing some of the things I'm capable of after all.

And honestly, I can't thank them enough… I can't thank enough the people that help me with this project… even extends to my life too. I really don't know where I would be if I wasn't this lucky to meet the wonderful people I did…

But this is no place for sap, you're not here for that! Let’s talk about what has changed since last time!

Well, not much, more like: A lot has been added!

The main issue my editor pointed out for the first drafts was Impact and Tact.

I had many parts where I was too focused on getting from one point to the next that I ended up rushing through more delicate and impactful scenes. That was changed for the second draft, these scenes now hold much more impact and tact than ever before! I learned quite a lot from this experience.

Another thing I’m excited to talk about is that: Phoenix Club Main Characters will finally have Character Reference Sheets! Done by Scrimblo!

They are already hard at work doing them, and I can't wait to see how it turns out! But I'm very happy that these silly goobers will finally have standardized design!!

Unfortunately, this does mean there won't be any panels this time around… sad but it’s for the better long term.

To close this segment, I got some fanart to show!

First, check out this AMAZING and almost TOO GOOD to be real art of Chie:

Art made by Miya.

I was completely STUNNED by this one!! JUST LOOK AT ART, IT’S TOO GOOD!

THIS DUMB LITTLE SERIES DOESN’T DESERVE THIS LEVEL OF QUALITY FANAR

There’s also this one also made by Miya:

Art made by Miya.

This is a genderbent version of Hiroshi… hang on, don’t leave just yet! There’s a funny story behind all this, I swear!

Miya has been calling Hiroshi “Hiro” for months, something that I never noticed in our conversations. But one day I did notice…

Hiro who?

I made a joke about it which made Miya question me if I ever called Hiroshi “Hiro”, which I never did. This made Miya lose their mind because they thought Hiroshi was always called “Hiro” and I have always called Hiroshi “Hiro”, essentially, they had a Mandela Effect moment!

This was hilarious to witness and they would’ve never noticed (well, until they got their hands on the first draft of the next upcoming chapters) that they have been Madela Effect-ed.

I’m personally adding this to the Phoenix Club History Books, right beside the “All characters are Neptune from Hyperdimension Neptunia.”

(Hiro is not canon to the Phoenix Club Universe, don’t worry.)

And that’s everything for Phoenix Club today! Quite a lot ay?

LIGHT NOVEL OF THE DAY

ONE PIECE novel A

One Piece: Ace’s Story

Light Novel made by Shou Hinata and Tatsuya Hamazaki.

The first ever recommendation of a light novel in the blog update!

Being the first ever light novel in this segment, I have no clue on how to do it… so I guess I’ll just wing it!

First let’s get a synopsis of course.

Synopsis: Washed up on the shores of a deserted island at the edge of the East Blue Sea, two men from different backgrounds unite in their shared thirst for adventure. One of them, Portgaz D. Ace, will follow in his infamous father’s footsteps as the fearless captain of a pirate crew. The other, Masked Deuce, becomes the reluctant first member of Ace’s Spade Pirates. With ambitions sky high, Ace is ready to make his own name known to the world by taking his father’s rival.

(Modified Source: Viz Media)

(This description was much better than anything I could come up with…)

Helo everyone!

We are back with the second ever light novel for this segment, today’s feature is: One Piece: Ace’s Story.

As you can tell from the title already, this book is the story of the character named Ace in One Piece. The story follows him from the moment he found his first mate all the way to when he joined Whitebeard’s Crew, and let me tell you something, these 2 volumes have a lot of fascinating things

Volume 1 is mostly just characterization for Ace and his crew, as they sail the seas and encounter many different and unique enemies. I’ll be honest tho… This one is fine, it does the job well and stuff, but the real meat comes next.

On the second volume we see more of Ace's flawed view of what he really wants from a life of piracy, contrasted with the much successful Whitebeard and his family oriented lifestyle.

This is the most fascinating part of this story to me personally, because of the amount of depth this has. Here we have the interaction between a character that absolutely hates his father and one giving the chance of him becoming his son seeing this child heading down a dark path.

We don’t get to see much of Whitebeard and Ace during One Piece, because y’know, it’s Luffy’s story, so I appreciate seeing more of these two fantastic characters and the many others who appeared throughout these books is so cool.

I’m trying to not spoil this book because the story here is really good, so I have been kinda vague with some details.

But the question of the hour is, would this book be good for people who haven’t read/ watched One Piece?

Uuuh, I don’t think so. The book does a good job explaining the concepts and world it takes place in, but it just doesn’t hit as hard without the prior context…

But this doesn’t affect the rating I’m going to give to this book, which is:

Score: 5/5! Amazing companion piece to One Piece, absolutely recommend to everyone fans of the series!

And that’s the second ever light novel showcase! As you may have noticed, this is another piece of side media of a big series and that’s intentional. I wanna read these types of books with worlds I’m already familiar with for the time being. As you may not know, I’m not the biggest reader out there, but I want to get into the habit of doing that! So I’m gonna start with what’s familiar for me and go up the stairs, step by step, while using this to refine my own writing skills!

I plan on doing more “Light Novel of the Day” segments, look forward to it!

LIFE UPDATES

Kingdom Rush ReVenging!

Let’s begin the topics with a revisit to something I gave an unfair try and judgment last time:

Kingdom Rush ReVengeance mod!

I talked about this mod while playing Vengeance, and how disappointing it was for having the “RomHack Effect” problem (not being friendly to casual gamers.). But ever since then, something has been bugging my mind.

The thoughts of “Maybe I didn’t give an actual honest shot at it.” and “Maybe I should try to actually overcome the challenges of the mod.”, things like that. So, after finishing Alliance, I went right back to Vengeance and installed the mod and gave an honest shot at it…

How was it?

Really good actually! This is actually really good!

There’s even custom enemies!

Taking all the poor level, tower and enemy designs base Vengeance has, they do creative things with and make it much tougher but also engaging and fun! My previous opinion of “You can’t play whatever you want or make mistakes.” was SO WRONG, almost anything can work in every stage of the games. The thing I didn’t do was play into the heroes and towers strengths and accounting for their weakness… so basically playing REALLY badly…

The mod wasn’t at fault here, I was! And for that I apologize, those criticisms I said last month were in VERY bad faith.

This mod deserves all the praise it gets. The mod improves everything about Vengeance while also adding new content and making it really fun! I had a blast going through all of it and you should too!

This was one of the most fun levels in the mod!

I also have to take back what I said about the Vengeance’s OST being tame, there are some great tracks in this game! Of course, there’s still lows, but it’s not all tame!

I did also engage with some mods for other Kingdom Rush games, while those were fun, they weren’t something as big as ReVengeance, so there’s not much to say on this front.

Deadlocking as Usual I see?

Deadlock is still cool and I’m still playing, surprisingly.

Here’s a cool clip that might be my greatest gamer move I ever did in my life:

Now, to your regular normal gamer, this clip is COMPLETE NONSENSE! So allow me to explain~

In the center of the map, there’s a boss that when defeated, it will summon a crystal that your team has to break with a strong punch. If you accomplish this task, your team will get buffs such as “-50% Respawn Time” and HUGE health buffs to your minions. This boss buff can make seal fates of matches and change tides of others, it’s REALLY powerful.

Here’s the thing though, when you do the boss fight, the ENTIRE map is alerted to it + you have to be mindful of the fact that: only the team that breaks the crystal gets the boss, not defeating the boss.

So here was me and my team, about to lose the match because they were about to get the buff to seal our fate, when one of my friends had the idea of stealing this buff for ourselves and encouraged me to do it. I NEVER tried something this bold before, so I was really anxious, but my character did have a trick up his sleeve… When landing after using his ultimate, he will become immune to any kind of stun and crowd-control for a few seconds!

So I went in after they defeated the boss, used my ult, stalled for as much time as possible, landed and dodged as much damage as possible and went for a miracle punch before the crystal had landed yet… and I did! I actually managed to steal their buff! Which allowed us to get back on our feet and win that match!

If I was a second late on anything, the match was probably doomed right there, but against all the odds, I managed to do it and that felt REALLY good. Hearing the crystal breaking sound was so satisfying and rewarding!

Something else cool that happened recently, like, yesterday recently, the devs added a new gamemode to test 6 upcoming characters that are in various stages of development. There are some really fun characters in this test, such as Holliday which revolves around getting headshots and doing massive single-target gun damage in bursts! She’s really satisfying and fun to play, getting headshots feels like HEAVEN.

Then we have Magician, which it took me a long time to figure out, but his play style basically revolves around his teleported skill. He can set up a clone of himself that with a press of a button, he can switch places with. So, the play style is: Set up the clone at a safe place, cause as much chaos as possible on the enemy team and teleport to safety when you get low on hp. It’s a fun play style, even if I was only able to play with it when the match was ending…

and the third character I played with before the testing servers closed was Wrecker and… that was the most depressing experience I ever had in this game. This character is bad in ALL regards, all his skills deal pitiful damage and require some kind of charge time to be good. His gun is really bad and feels awful, his ultimate is cool, you can fly to anywhere on the map at will, but to do damage you need to spend a long time doing nothing since the damage scales with time spent flying… you can see the problem here, spending 30- 60 seconds doing NOTHING to do something does not feel great, his gun and skills do very little to help that as well. This character is designed around the idea of a “scrapper”, making use of the scraps of battle to make his weapons and stuff, and one way to fix this character and make it more fun, I think, is leaning in more into that identity. He has a skill that scraps an enemy or ally troop to give him very lite buffs, but what if this skill enhanced his other skills? Maybe he could upgrade his weapon with enough scrapping? These are just suggestions I had from the top of my head, I don’t know how good they would be, but they do sound fun!

Either way, all these characters are still in the development, so let’s see how they will and how this game will evolve in the future!

Here someone who was stuck inside the wall for almost the entire match, and we only noticed and freed them many minutes in…

Screaming From My Fortress For the Sixteenth Time!

Scream Fortress XVI is here and I’m playing through it!

With Casual bot free, I have been able to have so much fun with Halloween again!

Well, that was the case if it wasn’t for a problem early on in the update… Matchmaking was completely broken.

The game coordinator refused to form matches with groups above 2 people in a single party and when it did, it would refuse to fill in for players that left the server, this would usually cause a server to slowly bleed players until there was just 1 - 3 people in a server that never got any new players. It was REALLY bad.

Thankfully this problem was solved, many days later, but it was solved nonetheless.

I’m having a blast doing contracts with my friend and also recording all the footage I can for the cool video I want to make! The ideas for the video are still vague but I can share one edit that… probably won’t make to the real video:

I like this, but I feel it’s a bit too chaotic and disorganized… so I won’t be putting it on the main video.

Ideas are flowing still and this video still has many months of editing before it’s finished, so there’s no worries in my mind!

I’ll continue to have fun with halloween content and make a cool video when all the dust is settled!

The cosmetics this time around are better than previous year, good job at that Valve! I haven’t looked at the new maps yet, but they seem interesting.

Not Really Dreadful to Return to Games!

I decided to pick Metroid Dread up again!

I’ve been playing too many games involving mouse and keyboard and wanted to shake things up by playing a game with a controller for once, but I wasn’t in the mood to jump into a whole new game. So I looked through my past catalogue in search of games I never finished (there’s many) and landed on Metroid Dread.

I don’t exactly remember why I stopped playing this game, but it was mostly likely because I moved on to different games… this happened a lot back then, start a game and move on to the next without finishing.

Anyways, the game is great, as expected from all the praise it received when it launched. Being chased by the E.M.M.I. feel really terrifying and parrying them when attacked feels equally satisfying! Parrying in general feels amazing.

Something else I like is that even during cutscenes, you can perform actions and it feels super cool!

But one criticism I have is that the game holds your hand a little bit too much and sometimes is obtuse to where you are supposed to go, at least that’s what I felt, I don’t know if that is true for everyone.

Anyhow, the game's amazing, go play it!

No more power allowed! You get morph ball now.

Minor Things are Still Noteworthy!

Here we have a few of the smaller stuff I did/ watched that aren’t big enough for a segment!

Wikipedia Speedrun - Miya and I did a Wikipedia Duel Speedrun and the rules were simple: From the dessert “Pudding” to the video game character “Sonic the Hedgehog”

So how did it go?

Well, I basically dug myself into a hole and lost the duel almost instantly.

I thought that I was being clever by going on a different path to find the Sonic page, by getting to the chilli dog page and getting it from there… but I remember a little too late that Wikipedia usually doesn’t have unrelated trivia sections. Instead of finding a clever way to win, I got myself into a corner and now was destined to lose.

Yeah, the lesson from this is: Don’t look for trivia in Wikipedia.

Bloons TD 6 - The game had a new update with a new boss and a bunch of cool things. The new map they added is probably one of my favorite maps they ever added! This map has split in the middle where you control where the bloons go and have a bunch of pedestals that give different buffs to your hero! Making so many strats viable and fun to play with, this is one of the best designed maps in this game!

The boss was fine, he does unique things that the others don’t. I have almost no interest because I’m mostly burned out on boss content.

I did participate in one of the recent race events that seemed fun and I managed to get a good time I was really proud of:

20th place on the first day of the event!

I decided to stop there because things get too sweaty to get a better time.

At the end of the event, I finished in 733rd place… too sweaty as I said.

Honkai: Star Rail - The new expansion to the simulated universe is quite the thing huh?

This was the feature I was most hyped for the 2.6 patch and it’s kind of a mixed bag…

The game mode revolves around the scepters and proking their powerful attacks, upgrading them and giving them buffs.

On one hand, it’s pretty fun upgrading and slowly evolving these weapons to do millions of damage… but on the other hand, your choice of characters doesn’t really matter anymore, because the weapons will do 90% of the damage now. I need to play tougher difficulties to form a strong opinion, but for now this is quite the mixed bag.

I also have been getting a little burned out on the game, I achieved everything I really wanted and built most of the characters in my roster. All that is left is optimizing the characters to get small increases in power… that require A LOT of RNG to do and I don’t want to do that, and the upcoming characters don’t interest me as much as I thought, soooo… yeah, those are my thoughts for this game at the moment. Not dropping the game or anything, just on a low period. But I do like what I saw of the story in this patch, can’t wait to dig into that!

And that concludes this segment!

I didn’t really have a set goal for this segment earlier this month, but you did get your halloween talk I promised! The video part will… take a long time still.

SONG OF THE DAY

The Song of the Day is Tiny Me by Masarada!

I love this song and how it conveys their message. So many of us think of their “Tiny me” as something annoying and that should go away as you get older. After all, we are constantly told to stop being “Childish”. I love how that is portrayed in this song, with Teto and just a higher pitch version of her that repeats everything she says that is also constantly viewed as nuance.

Sure, they can be annoying, but tiny things are still us. They hold all the joy and fun of our life, brushing them off or getting rid of them means… erasing a part of yourself, the part with your true emotions… I love the third part of this song. It’s simple, it’s only someone asking questions to their Tiny Me, understanding that this tiny thing thinks exactly like them. Ending with a simple drawing of them accepting it back to their life, a drawing that slowly zooms out as they sing harmony. Simple and yet so effective, it really made me emotional… This song is probably one of my favorite songs of this (2023) year, I can’t sing it’s praise enough man!

And that concludes today’s blog update!

Such a chaotic and busy month, I can only hope November is kinder to me… because December is right around the corner and those times are the most stressful of the year!

See you next month!

Have a nice day traveler!

16/10/2024

Helo!

Today we are not going to have a real blog update! (It’s also a day late!)

I have been way too busy porting my entire website and making sure everything is not reliant on one particular host or the other. I like to call this work: “Airproofing” my website!

So yeah, that has been taking up most of my time.

But I do have some topics to share:

The entire process of making chapters 6 - 9 for Phoenix club is about half-way done! Editor is currently reviewing the first drafts while I have been making the final drafts with the ones they finished looking over. Progress is going fine!

As for where I’ll be hosting my website files…

It’s a complicated situation.

Neocities is currently a no go, I disagree with the owner’s opinion on gen AI… Well, that post was a year ago, maybe they changed their opinion on it? I don’t know we will probably not know, Kyle doesn’t strike as one that is online for a long period of time. Maybe I was a bit too reactive? Well, I'll wait sometime before making any judgment on that.

Nekoweb is so far pretty good, but I do have some worries in the back of my mind. Ultimately, I’m going to host here in Nekoweb and stay for a few months, still “Airproofing” my website to the best of my abilities. If things turn bad, I’ll jump to self hosting and make both hosts just a gateway for my website… maybe.

FC2 is an option too, but that still needs a lot of research from my end.

So yeah, this is all a big shake up to my website as a whole, my mind has been quite busy lately trying to account for everything…

That’s the reason why this blog update is rather small and very disorganized, I sincerely apologize!

Next blog update will have everything this one was going to have and more, so don’t worry, nothing was lost!

But I’ll need a bit of a breather after all this is done, because geez, everything is so stressful.

To not leave you with nothing, here, have this Pudd witch I made recently:

The Witching Hour is Here!

See you next time!

Have a nice day traveler!

05/10/2024

Helo!

The month of spookles has finally begun! October is probably one of my favorite months of the year and this one will be a super busy one! But I'm getting a bit ahead of myself-

Welcome to a new blog update!

Today's topics include: Kingdom Rush 5 Alliance: Undying Fury , Maid Cafe on Electric Street , A Witch's Life in a Micro Room and many more!

Spoiler Alert for all those topics!

There's some big topics and a lot of small ones for this one, so let's begin right away!

WEBSITE UPDATES

Phoenix Club in the Works!

I have gotten quite a lot of progress done in the first drafts of the next chapters of Phoenix Club and things are looking… I would say good?

I got done with chapters 6, 7 and 8 since my last blog update and about 70% with 9, which is not really a bad pace… but I can't help but get the feeling that this is not going too well.

I think I made a really bad and crucial mistake somewhere in these 4 chapters and I can’t really pinpoint what it is, that’s kind of scary… what doesn't help is chapter 9 being one of the hardest things I ever tried to write at this point in time. I have a clear goal and story to tell in my mind, but when I'm going to put it into writing, suddenly the clear vision becomes foggy and confusing…

Maybe it's because many full weeks of actively doing writing are catching up to me? I don't know, the only thing I know is that chapter 9 is being a real struggle for me. I'll still try my best to get all these done in a reasonable time!

I also fixed a few typos, missing colors and removed a comment from my editor that somehow made it to one of the chapters… that was an embarrassing mistake on my part that will take a long time to forget.

And I'm afraid this is all the news I have to share for Phoenix Club at this time. The gears are moving and I'm not too far behind the schedule I set to myself.

Let's go go!

(Note: Do not be afraid, Pudd is not canon in the Phoenix Club universe.)

Halloween is Here!

Aside from Phoenix Club , there are some other updates to the website too!

I made a little page for the website's 2nd Anniversary, which is mostly a brief, self-indulgent look through the past year of my life… I'll be honest, there's not much for you on that page, it was mostly made for myself.

For other things that changed, I did some updates to a few pages with typos and things here and there.

Something that I did update that is not worthy is the ghost down there on your screen! It has brand new art!

If you want to see what it looked like before, just look below:

I decided to update it because I felt like I could do better than last year! Yup, as simple of a reason as that!

And that's all the updates done to the website!

As for what you can look forward to during this month… Phoenix Club of course! My plan is to get all 4 chapters done by the end of the month so I can release them during the course of November, so look forward to that!

LIFE UPDATES

Alliance Vs The Undying Fury!

Kingdom Rush Alliance just got the first out of many content drops.

A mini campaign called: Undying Fury!

Introducing 1 new tower, 3 levels and 2 heroes to the roster, so, how was it? Great actually!

The campaign is even better in quality and more challenging than the base game!

The whole challenge of the campaign is that the basic enemies have powerful synergies with the stronger ones and can interact with the environment! Turning helpful forces on your side into foes, and if not managed correctly, snowballing strong enemies in power and overwhelming your defense! The only odd ball is that there’s a tanky flying enemy that when it dies, leaves spores behind making other enemies invincible for a short time. Now that's not a problem normally, it only becomes one when they come in pairs!

They are fast and if you kill one, you have to wait for the other to leave the spores to kill them, which feels a little unfair.

Here's me doing an elf only challenge!

The new tower comes with some uniqueness too! It's the typical long range, high damage and slow fire rate archetype, but it introduces a new mechanic of: targeting!

You can make it target the strongest foe in range or the one first, which is pretty new for this game. The abilities are also fun! But it does feel a little weak and expensive to use.

The new hero is fun even if she falls on the weaker side and the return of Bonehart was really cool to see!

There's two wolves inside of us: a cutesy witch and an edgy undead dragon!

Even the boss gave me a lot of trouble, making me almost lose!

This was an amazing expansion for a great game!

I can't wait to see what’s next for this game and what other new/ familiar faces we are going to see!

Spoilers (Undying Fury Final Stage)

Oh how his pride has fallen…

Running a Maid Cafe Full of Freaks!

I was looking through the Steam ’s Tokyo Game Show program. There were some cool games and demos in the showcase, but only one caught my attention…

A game called Maid Cafe on Electric Street , and I played the demo available for it!

It was uh… something for sure!

The game is pretty cute and has very well made pixel art! I think the artwork for it is the strongest point for the game!

Just look at this rainy shot:

Such a pretty game!

The gameplay is what you expect, running a maid cafe, ensuring things array and bonding with the maids of your cafe. I must praise the characters but not for the reasons you might expect!

Everyone in this game is some kind of a freak, they aren't just “girl that is cute” or “girl that is cool”, they all have unique quirks and funny things that distinguish them! Even the protagonist, it's just a blank slate, he has a personality that shines through! That's really good to see!

Everyone is a freak and that's so much fun!

The game is really deep in that Otaku culture thing, the location the game takes place in is a real street in Japan where the devs collaborated with many businesses to replicate it in game! That's a cool factoide I learned from the trailer!

That also means it's also deep in Anime culture which uh… took bits of my soul every time I saw a reference to a slightly cringy show I used to watch many years ago… this is not a problem with the game by the way, they do make jokes about it but it’s never in a mocking way!

What is a problem is the many bugs and visual glitches all over the demo, heck, I even got a common bug that locked me out of the ending of the demo! Which forced me to close and reopen the game, which brought me back to the start of the demo. I gave up shortly after this.

This game needs a year or two still of development if the demo is anything to judge by, but it was still a fun and wholesome experience that I would recommend checking out!

Very cute and fun!

Two Witches in One Room, Who Wins? Friendship of Course!

Rokujou Hitoma no Majo Life

A Witch's Life in a Micro Room

Manga by Akitaka .

A new manga I have started to read about two witches living The Life!

The life of low wage in a very small room!

It's actually a very wholesome and cute manga that does a lot of things I really appreciate!

The story follows Madge and Lilica as they take shows from a witch corp and live in the big city. These jobs often lead to some kind of struggle where they learn something about each other as a team and while sometimes helping the stranger they were employed by.

What I appreciate is that it is not just them doing cute things, it sometimes tries to tell an actual message to the audience! I love that kind of ambition and this author does it pretty well!

Another thing to praise is the character’s expressions and body language! There's many scenes that you can remove all the dialogue from and you still would understand 100% what they would say just by their body movement and faces. In fact, there’s a segment where Lilica tries to push herself to do something she’s not comfortable doing, acting, and there’s very little dialogue, it's just her movement and expression:

I can't believe this manga is not very well known, it's great stuff and you should read it!

Smaller Gaming Time!

Living in the Underground!

Core Keeper just had its 1.0 release and I played it with a friend!

I did play this game a few years back when it was still on early access and now here I am playing the release version about 4 months after it…

And the game is still as fun as it was years ago.

If I were to describe the gameplay, I would say it's like a top-down version of Terraria . The game constantly gives you little things to do that all help with the progression line that guides you to fighting a boss to unlock the next step of the journey. Just with more RPG elements!

Heck, even the devs agree, because they did a collaboration with Terraria and added the King Slime as a boss fight! That was cool to see.

I recommend this game, if you can manage the addiction it's going to cause!

The game is also kind of nasty in the second area… so many larva!

M.M.M. ( Minecraft Modpack Madness) - I have been playing a lot of Modded Minecraft recently.

From Aether where we beat a moving flying block eye to a magic modpack with over 300+ mods, we are doing the works!

Actually, fun fact!

I was really overwhelmed by the modpack with 300+ mods, so I made the decision to stick with what I knew and ran very far from my friends base to live in the snowy mountains like a dwarf!

Anyways, fun things!

Pudd is lord from a friend's perspective.

Wolves in Foxian Clothes!

I finally played through the entire 2.5 patch of Honkai: Star Rail !

And I don't have much to say…

The main story was pretty cool and good, I just didn't care much for Feixao and Lingsha's characters at all… but seeing the moments with Hoolay putting fear into Jiaoqiu and the fight with Yunli, Yanqing and March was super cool!

Yanking!

Funny enough, I liked the event story more than the main patch one.

Luka's rise and struggles in the Wardance felt way more compelling, and the previous Belobog champion's story was also tragic…

Belobog did participate in the Wardance a long time ago, a man named Igor fought in competitions and won many of them all over the galaxy, including the Wardance against a young Jing Yuan. And each time he won, he would say the same victory speech… A plea to the audience and to anyone listening to help his home planet that was under the effect of the stellaron disaster, always falling to deaf ears… after all, what's a single planet's troubles in a galaxy full of millions with their own. With no one answering his plea he just… gave up.

It's a really sad story, but also a compelling one.

Igor was a real champion.

As for gambling, I spent all my 110 pulls on the two banners currently active: Topaz and her lightcone!

That's right, round 2 agaisn’t the lightcone banner!

However, I already lost my 50/50s, so I had both guaranteed drops and I got Topaz E1 and her light cone with ease! Making my Dr. Ratio always have 100% chance on his follow-up and increasing power for the entire team!

I have no use for Lingsha and I don't like her character much, so that’s a skip with me.

Genshin impacting Again!

Nothing really has been happening on this front! I just wanted to say that my plans for gambling have changed.

I plan on getting another constellation for Nahida so I can have crit blooms and def shred for funnier numbers!

If I end up getting this or not, it won't really matter, because I'll be saving for pyro archon next!

(Unless we get a Wriothesley rerun first…)

Anyway, the game also had a web event focusing on recapping your goals and achievements since last year, which is cool but not why I'm bringing this up. The reason why is because it had a very limited character dresser!

I made a character and I drew it!

Soooooo, here you go, have the original character (Do not steal!):

Mysterious Novelist!

And that's everything for this segment!

As for what to expect this month… A lot!

TF2 is going to have a Halloween update, which I'm very much looking forward to playing now that the bots are gone! I also want to make a video with funny clips and cool moments, that's going to be fun too!

I have been getting the itch to do video editing and this is the perfect opportunity.

There’s also a few other game updates and stuff that I don't really remember from the top of my head, so yeah. All this + Phoenix Club is going to make this month a very busy one…

SONG OF THE DAY

The song of the day is Secret Seeker by Yamagi Magi!

Super cute song that was randomly recommended to me by Youtube . I liked it!

Detective outfit Miku is adorable!

And that’s everything for this blog update!
