Helo!

We got a fast and simple blog update today, writing sure takes a lot of my brain power…

Today's Features are: Celeste, Silksong Act 3 And Night and Day!

Spoilers for those topics!

Let's begin!

WEBSITE UPDATES

Phoenix Club Updates!

Small news for today!

Just here to update on some of the progress in the writing department.

I’m currently finishing chapter 12, and this chapter made me realize that I might not have enough material to make full 6 chapters… but I’m still unsure about this.

I guess I’ll only know when it’s done.

Here’s the current progress for it however (still counting 6 chapters):

First Drafts - ~46% Done

Final Draft - 0% Done

Corrections - 0% Done

Preparations For Release - 0% Done

Progress So Far - ~11.5%

As for other news, chapter 6 panel has been finalized and implemented to the chapter! Scrimblo did an amazing job on that panel, please make sure to see!!!

As for other website news, I did the usual maintenance per usual, but I also added a few more custom filter buttons as well! I had a lot of fun making them, so make sure to see them!

Oh yeah, Miya held me at gun point:

To show this at the blog:

So yeeeeeeeah… here’s my drawing for today as well:

Pudd climbs a Mountain!

MANGA OF THE DAY

Tsuki to Suppin

Night and Day

Made by Yuu Akegata!

Synopsis: When they’re on their sugar-sweet dates, Akari’s always dressed to the nines in the cutest, trendiest fashion… Meanwhile, her dear Shiho always looks like she just rolled out of bed. Their differences are Night and Day!

Despite that, they share one thing in common – they want their girlfriend to be the happiest woman in the world!

(Modified Source: Manga Planet)

I could go to extreme depth and analyse everything about this manga to you why its good and all that, but instead I’ll just show you this panel:

I personally think that panel sums up the experience pretty well!

This is a cute manga about a lesbian couple having fun together. It’s a short n’ sweet slice of life full of wholesome and cute moments. There’s not much for me to add other than the name being really cool when you look at the two protagonists personalities!

That’s why you should read it!

Score: 4/5! Cute!

LIFE UPDATES

Climbing a Mountain by Miya's Orders!

And only half a gun pointed at my head!

Real, virtual life footage of Miya suggesting Pudding to play Celeste.

Celeste is a game I have been avoiding for a long time now. These speedrunning focused/ difficult platforming games aren't my usual cup of tea. But Miya suggested me to play it, and after a while, I decided to just play it after I'm finished with Silksong.

Chilling by a campfire.

It's a very good game. I like the challenge of collecting strawberries and getting to the end of a stage.

The other content like the Side Bs however… Those are the things I'm going to avoid.

I gave one of them a try but ended up giving up after realizing that they are super long. Don't get me wrong, I had some amount of fun with it and I do like difficult challenges, but I have more fun climbing the mountain while eating strawberries.

No one left behind!

The story and characters are really fun!

SONIC… Heroes…

My tortu- I mean, Sonic Journey continues now.

After solving a problem that I could’ve solved many weeks ago if I just simply asked for help from Miya, the local Sonic Master. The journey is now back on track!

I downloaded a mod from gamebanana (well, Miya did for me, cause it seems like I’m shadowbanned there for some reason??), I can finally play this game with infinite lives!

Something that is 100% required considering the amount of bugs and glitches that just result in deaths on this game.

Flying with primary colors.

I’m currently done with one of the stories of the game, but I’ll hold my thoughts on it until I’m fully done with the game. But they are very mixed, that’s for sure…

The Skong of The Third Act!

For those who don’t know, act 2 is not the end of Silksong!

To access this third act, you have to do pretty much most things in the game and do something during the final part of the final boss. Doing so, will transform and RUIN the entire world as abyssal threads start bursting out of the ground!

This is the sudden infection from Hollow Knight but taken to the next step! Now it’s not just the first area that got harder and had many paths blocked, now it’s the whole world of Silksong! I love the attention to detail during this act, many areas will have all kinds of debris blocking paths and even some that even killed (both friendly and enemies) bugs permanently.

Trying to get your bearings in this twisted and wrapped world, you head to some kind of fast travel, only to notice that the elevator at the closest village is under rubble as well… so you try the next best thing, your pet bell beast!

… but when you call for Ayra, you instead find a much more hostile and dangerous creature lurking in the bell tunnels: Bell Eater.

This is such a good introduction to what you can expect in this act! The game forces you to go through this now destroyed world, and when you finally arrive at something familiar, it's instantly taken away by a much scarier being! Of course, you have to fight it!

Biggest crow!

Exploring takes a bit of a back seat during the act, most of your time will be spent fighting very tough bosses and completing the few last %s left for your 100%, which was honestly a nice change of pace.

They don’t hold back too, most of the bosses here will kick your butt and take your candy. But they are (for the most part) fun bosses too! Completely fair fights where the mistakes you make will be punished.

I like dodging.

My favorite one has to be the final one of the act, I'm not gonna spoil that but it’s really sick! Took me almost an hour to beat it, but damn was it satisfying to land that final blow.

The ending was also cool… well I think it was at least. I don't know much about Hollow Knight or Silksong lore, so I have been just going along with wherever the story told me to do. I still had a lot of fun with it however!

THE DRAMA RETURNS FOR THE THIRD ACT!

Silksong is a masterpiece, just like Hollow Knight! Definitely my Game Of The Year!

(Let’s ignore the fact that this is one of the few games from 2025 I played…)

SONG OF THE DAY

Resurrections by Lena Raine!

I like Celeste OST quite a bit actually! It has this oddly chill theme that contrasts with the tough gameplay, but yet both are in harmony somehow? One thing I really love about it is that the song of a stage evolves as you go through a stage, which is why I picked this one as my favorite! I love how this song adds new instruments and changes as you progress through the level!

And that’s all for today folks!

A fairly busy month this time around, the release of Silksong and Phoenix Club writing took a lot of my time.

See you next month, Internet Traveller!

Have a nice day!

Helo!

Welcome to this SPOILER FILLED blog update featuring: Hollow Knight: Silksong!

Spoilers for Silksong!

Just a heads up, I’ll not be talking about act 3 on the Silksong segment, just acts 1 & 2!

But anyway, if you want to avoid spoilers, only read the Website Changes part.

Let’s begin!

WEBSITE UPDATES

Phoenix Club Moves!

Good news!

I’m done with the first drafts for chapters 10 and 11! Progress is going smoothly so far, very little road blocks~

Though, I’m still unsure if this is going to be 5 or 6 chapters in total, I had to take a good portion of chapter 12 content and put it into 11 because 10 had a lot of 11 on it and- bit of a mess but this is the usual for behind the scenes!

Here’s the progress so far (the %s are counting 6 chapters total):

First Drafts - 33% Done

Final Draft - 0% Done

Corrections - 0% Done

Preparations For Release - 0% Done

Progress So Far - ~8%

I don’t know if I mentioned this before, but I’m only sending these chapters for my Editor when I’m done first drafting all of them, unlike last time as we went chapter by chapter. I want everything ABSOLUTELY ready before release, so the %s will look low for the time being.

As for other Phoenix Club news, I can only say that the chapter 6 panel is looking really good! Scrimblo is doing a fantastic job at it and I can’t wait to show you!

As for other website news, I only did the usual maintenance stuff and added a new custom filter button! The Mario Journey one, I think it looks very cool!

By the way, thanks to everyone who leaves messages on the guestbook! I always appreciate them and have fun seeing what everyone recommends!

I think that’s about it for what I had to say, here’s the artwork I did for today:

A Mysterious Knight and a Familiar Soul.

LIFE UPDATES

SILKSONG IS SO GOOD!!!!

As said before, all screenshots and things I’m gonna talk about here will be about acts 1 & 2, I’ll not spoil nor talk about act 3. If you still haven’t played it, just go do it! All the stores are functioning and you can buy the game now!

Hornet is waiting, come on!

That was crazy though, Silksong crashed pretty much ALL major store fronts on the hour that was released! I have never seen a game reach that kind of level EVER. Deltarune crashed Steam for a bit, but Silksong managed to take EVERYTHING down for an hour.

Welp, the game is finally here and… god damn this game got hands!

Let’s start with the visual presentation on display here… this game is god damn gorgeous, anywhere you go, everywhere you go, it's all pretty eye candy! That paired with the insane attention to detail, makes this such a beautiful game to just look around. The moment I noticed that the decoration critters of the environment were slowly dragging the corpses and other valuables to their nest below, I realised that this game is truly special. This feels like a world where these creatures live in!

There’s so many moments where npcs just step in to help!

The gameplay is equally as awesome as the art! Hornet is super fast and combat is as tight as Hollow Knight, which is good! (specially when she has the movement abilities unlocked). You can do some crazy acrobatics and fun stuff with her kit of abilities!

The charm system is now replaced by Tools, which depending on what type of crest you are using, limits you the amount/ what type of categories of tools you can have equipped at all times. I really like the weapons you can equip, they allow you to do quick damage while you can’t approach your enemy/ want to save up silk for a heal, or when you are just going through the word and don’t want to deal with a particular enemy! It took a little bit to incorporate them into my play style, but they made for very useful… tools when I did!

Epic fighting here!

Oh yeah, crests are awesome too! They completely change Hornet’s moveset and even the way to play her sometimes by giving her special abilities! There’s none that I disliked, I found uses and had a lot of fun using all of them.

Bosses were awesome too! Act 1 had a bit of stinkers, but pretty much everything past that one was great! Most of them are difficult but fair fights that you can’t power through. You have to learn the boss and exploit their moment of weakness, unlike Hollow Knight where you can just do more damage than you take sometimes.

This is probably my absolute favorite in the game, they have the same abilities we have and we have to play well!

Exploring this game also brought me back to when I was playing Hollow Knight again, the game’s map is HUGE and there’s tons to find all over the place! Getting lost was a constant and always fun~

Some of the trolls were absolutely diabolical though. There was a part of the game where I was very low health, exploring a swampy area and I was just looking for a single bench to sit. When I did find one, I was focused on sitting there to save and heal that… I didn’t notice the crumbling floor below that bench… The moment I sat on it, the ground faltered and I found myself in an even worse situation. That particular experience is something hilarious that I’ll for sure never forget. When a game always plays fair, they are allowed to troll their players. Feels like the devs are laughing with the players and not at them!

This screenshot goes so hard.

Did I say that this game is also a very content rich game? Or that the new quest system adds a lot of reason for you to backtrack and that they aren’t just generic fetch quests?

Oh, funny story. A lot of people in my friend group have been playing this game, and somehow, all 4 of us got to the point of the game’s main questline… with completely different tools, areas and bosses fought! This game is so rich with content that 4 people managed to get to the same place with vastly different loadouts and strategies! That's crazy!

This prison section was a complete surprise! I did not expect to suddenly be in jail for being bad at dodging.

The only issue with this game, aside from my personal opinion that 45º down attack SUCKS, is the hot topic called difficulty.

This game does not hold anything back, you WILL die A LOT before you get a good handle on bosses and even some areas. And that’s honestly fine, it’s a punishing but rewarding experience to finally get past that one thing you have been stuck on for the past 20 minutes trying to beat. I think the complaints of being too hard are a bit overblown, if you use all the tools the game gives you and put the effort in to learn & execute bosses correctly, you will win. Of course, there’s the rare cases where a boss/ area just sucks (Bilewater), but this game is very fair, most of your deaths are because of mistakes and not bs.

I do agree with the complaint about double game tho, specially for bosses who do contact damage when they aren’t attacking the player. There’s no reason for double damage when they are doing nothing, that sucks.

This boss is not an example of this, I just love this boss design and fight!

Up to act 2, this game is absolutely fantastic! Definitely my favorite game of the year! (Let’s ignore the fact that this is one of the few games I played that were released this year… My backlog is too big…)

Team Cherry did an amazing job and it shows. There’s 7+ years of passion and love put into this title and I’m enjoying every single moment of it!

They can take a nice nap knowing this is amazing.

Now if you will excuse me, it’s time for me to figure out what happened to my save file.

SONG OF THE DAY

Choral Chamber by Christopher Larkin!

You know, getting to the citadel part and hearing this track for the first time, it really brought me back to that magical feeling of seeing the city of tears for the first time. Seeing this place that was once full of people just living their normal lives, now fallen to despair and madness… it hits deep, y’know.

And Christopher really knows how to emphasize this feeling with this song. It's a sad and somber song that still features the humming of the ones who used to live peacefully there.

This is my favorite track of the OST 100%.

And that’s all for today folks!

By the way, here’s a secret for you: I actually already beat act 3 of Silksong AND got the 100%! I’ll take about on the next blog update though~

See you next time, Internet Traveller!

Have a nice day!

Helo!

Welcome to a new blog update featuring no Silksong spoilers!

Today’s topics are: Deep Space Bellhop and Hollow Knight!

This blog is also a shorter one because I’m very busy with so much happening… So let's begin!

Spoilers for those topics!

Let’s begin!

WEBSITE UPDATES

Phoenix Club Progress Check!

The time for putting ideas down on (virtual) paper is over!

That’s right, everything is set in stone, so I started doing the first draft for chapter 10!

I’m currently 80% done with that draft, so things are progressing nicely. I’m shooting to write 500 words minimum every day of the week, I think that’s a good pace to write for myself.

Oh yeah, talking about progress--

I can start doing the cool % stats now:

First Drafts - 13% Done

Final Draft - 0% Done

Corrections - 0% Done

Preparations For Release - 0% Done

Progress So Far - ~3%

I don’t have any dates on how long it's going to take to finish everything, but it’s gonna take a while. Working on 6 chapters all at once is tons of work!

But every blog update I’ll try to update those %s to reflect current progress.

As for other website related updates, I did some minor changes here and there, usual maintenance stuff. I also added more buttons to the links page! Make sure to check them out!

That’s all for this segment, here’s the drawing I made for today:

Who are these guest?”

LIFE UPDATES

Strategic Elevator Action!

I played Deep Space Bellhop, a game made by a fellow Nekoweb friend: Annie! (Click name to go to their den!)

This is a turn-based elevator stress simulator where you work at an elevator and have to bring many citizens to their requested floors! Moving the elevator will take up a turn, wait too many turns and your guest might get mad and leave, which will cause your battery to decrease. Zero battery = Game over!

The gameplay loop is simple, strategize and make the most out of your turns to avoid mad people. But you are not only fighting the customers, you are also fighting the elevator itself!

The elevator has tank controls (At least I think that’s what this type of control is called?), so you have to time your movement well, to avoid wasting a turn on the wrong floor!

The loop is simple but the gameplay is tough, timing your movements while also trying to think about the next floor you are going to go is difficult.

I couldn’t get past the final day, making mistakes is so punishing…

But I had fun playing the game! I managed to get to turn 30 of the day at least! That’s good right?

You should buy this game not only to support your local devs who put a lot of effort into the cute graphics, good songs & mechanics, but because it's a fun short and sweet game!

A GORMLESS CAT

Deep in the Nest

Silksong is out right now at the time of writing, and I'm enjoying my time with it a lot! (Probably, I haven’t been able to buy the game still, this game single handedly killed all 4 majors store fronts LMAO)

But don’t worry, I'll not be including anything related to that game yet. I'll be talking about Hollow Knight only!

Man, what an incredible game that is…

The enviroments are so good.

From presentation to gameplay, this game performs everything so well.

It was a joy charting the entire map of Hallownest, uncovering new areas, fighting difficult foes and even taking a moment to breathe the beautiful atmosphere, every was so good~

I'm genuinely impressed how much Team Cherry managed to get out of this bug themed world. Playing like a normal human and not missing important progression upgrades did help that enjoyment as well…

I even enjoyed the tougher challenges in the end game, such as the White Palace. That was a tough platforming challenge that was super to player skill as you could skip the whole section with just game knowledge!

This game is very special.

Despite only being able to beat the first two pantheons, I did enjoy the ultimate combat challenges the game had to offer too. I gave it my best shot, but I just couldn't get past the third one.

But I did manage to beat Nightmare King Grimm not only once, but twice! (He's also my favorite boss! I love his design a lot and the fight was super fast and intense.)

That's me... but not me?

My only criticism with Hollow Knight is that backtracking feels rather tedious, all the fast travel spots are in places that make sense story wise, but it ends up being awkward spots for gameplay purposes. Some of the charms are also a little too niche to use sometimes.

But aside from these minor nitpicks, what a god damn great game this is.

Rejoice Skongers, Silksong is finally here for all us to enjoy.

No more Silksanity, or Daily Silksong News… It's bitter to lose them, but this battle was fought with tons of bravery.

It’s time to silk our songs.

Tiny bug vs GOD

Sonic… Heroes…

One quick segment before closing things off…

I started playing Sonic Heroes and things are already not going well.

The game is quite fun for the first hour or so, there’s some bugs here or there but it’s all fun! But as things go on, more bugs happen, stages get tougher and the quality of the whole experience just goes down a cliff.

I can’t count how many times I got killed because the light speed dash just refused to work…

My first impressions of the game is that it has a lot of potential, but it's a buggy MESS. I see the good Sonic design of many different paths that you have to choose which is the fastest, but half of the stuff just doesn't work.

This has a very truck feel.

I’m currently looking for a way to cheat infinite lives. I got tired of the game overing on the same stage over and over again because the game’s core mechanics stopped working.

SONG OF THE DAY

Nightmare King by Christopher Larkin!

I had a hard time choosing which song from the Hollow Knight OST to choose. There’s a billion good tracks, my favorites were definitely Nightmare King and Greenpath. But in the end, after taking a look at the playlist of all the songs recommended in this segment for this year (which didn’t really change anything in my decision), I picked Nightmare King.

I just love the vampire core, intense type of song. Perfect for the type of boss fight Nightmare King Grimm is.

And that’s all for today!

Now, if you excuse me, it’s time for me to get back into Silksong and Phoenix Club writing!

See you next time, Internet Traveller!

Have a nice day!
