The (Anime Café) Discovery!

While I was looking into Cardcaptor Sakura, I noticed a specific result on Google.

A “Cardcaptor Sakura Café” existed in the city I live in.

So I decided to visit that place during my holiday!

I have never been to this kind of place or cafés in general. So this was going to be a pretty new and interesting experience for me.

The (Anime) Café!

My rating is: It’s a pretty cozy café!

People are censored for privacy and the image is compressed a bit, but you can see the vibe!

The customers and staff looked to be having fun at this place, everything was well maintained and it looked pretty!

I really liked the art arches on the walls.

I thought this card art was so cool!

There was even art of characters I had never seen in my life!

They are probably from the sequels thing, because they were not in the original manga…

Of course, I didn’t just walk in, took a bunch of photos and left without ordering anything.

I decided to eat a salty and a sweet (which this particular one had a bunch of options of) dishes.

The salty one was okay, not the best croissant I have eaten but it was serviceable.

The sweet one was awesome though!

I ordered a “Parfait Kero” that looked like this:

I can’t believe they turned him into a parfait!

I really struggled to eat this thing without making a mess all because of the wings. I navigated the eating process very carefully to avoid problems or anything spilling to the table… tasted really good though.

I’m almost considering another trip there in the future to just eat more of that stuff~

So yeah, that was my experience with the café. I bought some souvenirs and found a great anime store just below that place.

That was THE exact thing I was searching for many years, so I bought a few things from there too:

My table now has a new Sakura and a Luka I got on a blind box.

The Anime!

I also started watching the anime a bit before going to this café.

The episode count was a bit of a jumpscare to me.

70 EPISODES!? THE MANGA WAS JUST 50 CHAPTERS!

To no one's surprise, this anime is full of filler. But at least, so far, the filler is not toooo bad.

They do a couple of cool things with the new cards added and the animation is still very impressive.

Actually, the animation overall is incredible for a show this old! The VA and OST are great as well!

I really like the opening and ending so far, so catchy and fun~

To avoid any problems, here’s a Roa instead of an anime screenshot!

I'll give more thoughts once I'm finished with it, but I'm enjoying my time so far.

Clocktowers Beneath the Sea By Pascal Michael Stiefel

Playlist For 2026

Have you heard of Archipelago?

This was something completely new to me!

Basically, Archipelago connects games together and something you get on a game, might something else on another game!

For example, if you have SM64 and DK64 connected, collecting a power star in the latter might get you a golden banana or the other! And vice versa!

It's a pretty cool and interesting thing!

Me and some friends tried it out.

After a quick test run with a handful of people and games, we invited more people to the new one and made a huge archipelago with 10 people and over 20 games!

I chose 4 games for this one: A Hat In Time, Pizza Tower, The Binding of Isaac and Donkey Kong 64.

The first two are games I decided to revisit after a very long time not playing them.

The third, y'know what's up, I'm the Isaac guy.

The final one… Dk 64… was my first time playing. But let’s go in order.

A Hat In Time!

I forgot how charming and cute A Hat In Time was.

The last time I played this game was over 6 years ago, and revisiting it for this Archipelago made me remember how good of a game this is.

Moving around and collecting stuff was so much fun, despite being locked out of major progress because other people needed to find yarn for my hats.

Time rifting.

This also made me realize how important the hookshot badge is for this game, so many missions require you to have this badge… I had to learn quantum apples and some speedrun techs to get a few checks without the hook…

I still had fun through the entire thing, this game was great!

This game ended up being my second game beaten.

Pizza Tower!

I was surprised how much I still remembered Pizza Tower, despite not touching or seeing this game for many years.

This game was pretty funny in the Archipelago as well, because some of the checks were “Nothing”.

So there was always a chance for the hardest check ever in a game just to send “Nothing” to my Pizza tower game…

(That happened to me…)

This game ended up being my last game completed, because for some reason, I need A LOT of toppins to even try to fight the final boss.

The Binding Of Isaac!

TBOI was a pretty fun game to play in an Archipelago. The checks are obtained when you visit specific rooms in a floor/ or chapter of the game.

I had fun flexing my niche knowledge of this game and finding ways to sequence break and unlock things before I got the tools required to get there.

My goal to beat this game was to beat the 4 major bosses the game has (Delirium, The Beast, Mother and Mega Satan).

Regular Isaac Gaming!

I managed to beat Delirium, and Mega satan in one room by using the sacrifice room and getting to the dark room before I got the negative!

Meanwhile, I had to find other ways to unlock the door to The Beast by using niche item interactions, because the polaroid and negative were too much of a pain for us to unlock.

In the end, TBOI was my first finished game… to no one's surprise.

Donkey Kong 64…

And finally… Donkey Kong 64…

I played it with the mod that allows you to swap characters anywhere, for sanity purposes.

After a long time learning how to play the game and how the randomizer worked (I skipped all tutorials, so I had to look up stuff online LMAO), I got the general hang of things and man… What a rough game.

Such a clunky game to control and weird to play, so many odd decisions and all that.

And yet, I couldn’t stop playing it…

This wrong 64…

Collecting things and just playing with this swap anywhere mod, was so much fun!

I got so into the game that I even dreamed about this game!

(For those who were wondering, my dream was me playing a new world in the game that was a farm themed level that took place on a massive hole, so there was a lot of vertically in the level.)

I had to forfeit the game unfortunately, because one of the important unlocks for the game was locked on the final area of the game, which wasn’t accessible with said unlock.

But I can't deny that I had fun playing this broken game.

And that was my contribution to our Archipelago.

These are fun to do, it felt like a group project where everyone was working together to beat all the games available.

If you know how to setup, I recommend getting a group of friends and doing it!

(This was supposed to be on the last blog, but I forgot to finish in time.)

Today is my birthday!

I took a risk on eating sushi for the first time yesterday (I have some sea food allergy) and ate a very tasty cake today!

Check out the cake for this year:

Chocolate is always best!

Too much sugar, so this cake will be a 3 act piece~

Also, the sushi didn't kill me. Looks like my sea food allergy is only for shrimp after all... and I think I won't order the raw sushi things honestly. I prefer the grilled salmon ones over the raws.

But that's enough from me, have a nice day!

Interloping!

While I was browsing the Anomalous Materials Discord Server (Interloper’s creator Discord server) and I saw this interesting thread on a fan game someone was developing.

It’s called SourceVoid Online and it aims to mimic the Interloper C episode Source void exploration!

First, you need a legal copy of Half-Life 2 and also TF2 and CS:Source installed, then you boot up the game, type a seed on the prompt and BAMN!

You are thrown somewhere random in the void!

Which admittedly isn't as exciting as one might expect.

Basically, the game connects you to a server hosting a map that mimics the Source void in the Interloper series, so, many maps from those 3 games spread out in this massive nothingness.

After connecting, you will probably be failing.

So, just like the series, pray that you land on something and don’t spend half an hour staring into the void!

After landing, you can explore the place, and if you are lucky, you might even find other players! This is in multiplayer, so there will be other people exploring the void with you… somewhere… unless you input the same seed at the start, then you two will be together.

There’s also the entities that occasionally hunt you if you hangout in one spot for too long, like the Umbrella or the mysterious Error.

I think that’s about all for introductions, the fan game is really simple really.

I decided to do some investigations on the Source void of my own, here are my findings:

Void Expedition 1

Seed: Somegoodcontentplease

Results: Failure.

Notes:

Spent 15+ minutes falling and never landed anywhere.

Void Expedition 2

Seed: Pleaselandsomewhere

Results: Landed.

Notes:

Approximately 7 minutes of falling, I landed on a strange map:

It looked to be a countryside map, you could enter one of the houses, but there was nothing in there.

If you follow the trail, you will find a dead person:

Continuing the trail, you find another house and the entrance of a mine. I explored these mines but didn’t find anything unusual inside:

So I jumped off the map and started falling again.

After 8 minutes of it, I decided to call this expedition there.

Void Expedition 3

Seed: Thanksforlanding

Results: Failure.

Notes:

Spent 15+ minutes falling and never landed anywhere. (I guess I deserve that one for the stupid prompts.)

Void Expedition 4

Seed: Imkindahungryandsleeping

Results: Landed.

Notes:

After 12 minutes of falling, I landed on CP_Well from TF2:

I explored the map, but didn’t find anything unusual or creepy, it was just good ol’ Well. I love that map.

Looked for the edge of the map and jumped off.

After 10+ minutes of falling, I decided to call it there for this one.

Void Expedition 5

Seed: Funnyumbrellaman

Results: Landed.

Notes:

After 2 minutes of falling, the void suddenly turned red.

Then I landed in… Super Mario 64??

It was some kind of TF2 trading map where people hangout.

I looked around the castle and found this scene at the basement:

Those mangled player models were other players that crashed, getting too close to that entity will cause that. (I tested this.)

After all that, I found the edge of the map and started falling.

Few minutes passed and nothing happened. So I called for this one.

Void Expedition 6

Seed: Hammer

Results: Failure.

Notes:

Tried simple one words for a change, didn’t land anywhere after 15+ minutes tho.

Void Expedition 7

Seed: Thefinalone

Results: Failure.

Notes:

The final expedition I was conducting for this blog… found nothing after 15+ minutes of falling.

Void Expedition 8

Seed: hangout

Results: Known.

Notes:

The game tells you about a seed called “hangout”, and if you put that into the prompt, you land inside a mall to… hangout… with other players who also put that seed.

Pretty simple really, but there were a lot of mangled models all over the place and no one was there while I was exploring.

I found this weird light pillar outside of the mall as well:

It was something that shot you up into the sky.

I used it to fall off the map and begin falling.

After 8 minutes of falling, I landed on the bottom layer of the Source Void.

There’s nothing special here, it’s just the place you will always land on if you wait long enough.

Called it quits there.

Void Expedition Bonus!

Seed: Pudding

Results: Eventful!

Notes:

While I was writing this blog, I decided to leave an expedition in the background and it actually made a lot of interesting results!

I didn’t track time for this one though…

After sometime falling, I landed on a Japanese TF2 map that was pretty familiar to me:

I think I played on this map on the Vs Saxton Hale gamemode on a community server… but I’m not quite sure if this is the correct map.

I explored the place a little bit, but didn’t find any unusual sights. Just a cozy map that I used to know from when I was a kid… (Kind of creepy considering the seed is my name.)

I went back to falling.

After some time, I landed on de_Inferno from CS:S.

…And I have nothing more to add.

I don’t really play any of the modern CS’s, so this was just a cool map to explore and nothing else.

Continued to fall.

After some time, I landed on something weird…?

It was inside some place that was completely invisible. The only thing there was the mangled model of another player.

I tried everything but I couldn’t get out of this place, I was trapped inside of an invisible box.

I just decided to accept my fate and call it there.

Outerloping!

Yeah… just like how it’s described in the series, the act of exploring the void is really boring and time consuming. There’s not much excitement to find here, unless you are a big Interloper fan like me and just find this cool.

If you are in the mood to hear a falling SFX for 15+ minutes and then (hopefully) land on an empty map with spooky vibes, this is your game!

(This is a really cool project, I’m gonna follow it to see where it goes.)

Oh yeah, here’s an update on the Interloper page for anyone wondering about when I’m gonna update it:
I don’t plan on adding anything new anytime soon, unfortunately.

I’m probably going to take the video files from there and upload them to Youtube, but as for new content… I’m not really in the mood to do that.

At A Breaking Point!

At this point, I have already beaten the game and engaged with most of the end game stuff you can unlock.

The ending quest was a bit tough, but I love the little tie-ins with TBOI lore. I had my suspicion that the character we play as was someone important, because some NPCs gender the MC as a woman, but I ended up being surprised by the reveal anyway.

Love this crusty artwork!

Difficulty Kinda Sucks Here...

As expected of an Edmund McMillen game, beating the game is half of the battle. There’s always more, no matter how many credits you see.

Midway through act 3, you unlock difficulty settings for all your acts and these are the end game of Mewgenics.

Hard, Crazy and Impossible, each one progressively getting harder and more unfair, the ultimate test of uh… hm…

I’m gonna be honest, getting the unlocks for these difficulties kind of made me hate the game. The odds are just really stacked against you, especially on Impossible mode. More elite enemies, higher HPs and, worst of all, those extremely punishing champion buffs…

Check out three giant space rocks!

Impossible would’ve been 10% more doable if for example, champion buffs were spread out to all enemies, instead of having all stacked in one enemy. Dealing with an enemy with 3 buffs is really tough, but things only get worse with more enemies with 3 buffs as well…

(I really hate absorbment.)

That wouldn’t fix the issue with bosses (they are really annoying and unfair with the 3 champion buffs at once or their adds that inherent their buffs [THROBBING KING FIGHT IS SO BAD AT HIGHER DIFFICULTIES MAN) but at least it would make the journey a bit more doable.

Higher difficulties makes this game way less fun for me tbh. I know you can trivialize a lot of the difficulty with breeding, mutations and many ways to break the game with equipment… but those are even less fun for me.

I finished act 1 & 2 impossible difficulty with all collars, but I decided to give up on act 3. I found a way to somewhat consistently win, but playing the same classes every time is not fun.

So true steven

Great Feline Game!

Complaints aside, I absolutely loved this game!

It scratched that itch I have for TBOI where the game just keeps expanding and expanding, always having more objectives to do. The adventure sections were always fun, leveling up the cats and seeing the wacky synergies you can make is awesome.

I love that they also brought the “item pool” system from TBOI to this game too. There’s items exclusive to certain stages and chapters and that adds so much more depth to the strategy. (Edmund please add a Chaos item, I want all wacky pools!)

Check out my oldest cat ever!

The only thing I didn’t like about Mewgenics, aside from the difficulty stuff, is the cat breeding part. That never really clicked with me.

I thought it was too random to control and relying on luck for mutations is so annoying…

Overall, I had a blast playing through the game! I recommend it a lot!

Now if you allow me, I shall artificially extend this blog by doing all the youtuber content farm thing!

First, a tier list of all the collars in the game:

I’ll spare you the explanations for this, if you wanna know worded opinions, Click Here!

Engagement Farm

Oh yeah, the lovely OST, you CAN’T forget about it!

Second, my top 10 tracks in the game with some very insightful commentary on them:

1- Angel Wings - Big fan of the TBOI vibes from this one, haunting melody;

2- Tuff - GOTTA BE TUFF;

3- We’re Dead - We’re so happy being DEEEAD… - No more calls from uncle Marty 🗣️🔥;

4- Flush - It’s the most catchy song about poop you will ever have the pleasure to listen to;

5- Dig Your Own Grave - What a fantastic track for a final boss. + Points for changing the song throughout the phases;

6- Brush Your Teeth - Of course the Kaijus would have a japanese song with stupid lyrics, now tell me, WHO IS ANNA-CHAN??;

7- Down With The Devil - One of those songs you just jam to, until you get jumpscared by the lyrics towards the end;

8- Alone In The Dark - I sing this one along constantly when going through the bunker, really good song;

9- Feline Invader - A-LI-EN CRATER, FELINE IN-VA-DER, A-LI-EN CRATER, FELINE IN-VA-DER, A-LI-EN CRATER, FELINE IN-VA-DER, A-LI-EN CRATER-;

10- Endless Misery - At first I didn’t like this one, but after hearing it many times, it really grew on me!

Check out this late run I had with the worst collars of my list! (They died on the final boss.)

It’s worth noting that this specific list changes depending on my mood and day. So all those ranks are fictitious, all the songs are top 1!

Except for Throbbing King, the impossible grind made me hate that song…

I think I’ll call it here, before I start losing my mind and saying random stuff. I’m not good at this youtube engagement thing.

Sure Is The Super Mario Movie 2 (Galaxy Edition).

I watched this film recently and it sure is a Mario movie ay?

The basic premise is that the cast here go from place to place, trying to trackdown Bowser Jr. and save Princess Rosalina.

And once the movie gets the ball rolling, it will NEVER stop. The pacing is fast and nonstop, so be ready for that.

Just like the previous one, they took the approach showing a bunch of cool action sequences and fun things to look at instead of a story you can sink your teeth into, which is fine. It 'sa Mario movie.

I had fun watching it, it kept me entertained, but I did wish it had a bit more substance in the story. Especially when the game is based on Galaxy, one of the only mainline Mario games to have a slightly deeper narrative.

There were a couple scenes with Bowser and Rosalina & Peach that could’ve been cool to explore, but they ended up not going anymore. The Bowser stuff was funny at least.

sure is a mario movie 2.

Sadness aside, the place they galaxies the cast explored and the many references sprinkled throughout the movie were very fun. Heck, Fox McCloud is in this movie and he does cool stuff! The short animated sequence when he was introduced was fun.

The action sequences in general were cool too.

I think I’m just gonna keep walking in circles if I keep talking about this movie because there’s not much else to say other than: “I had fun watching, that’s about it.”

It’s a good movie to just be entertained by from start to finish, but if you want to delve into a deep, rich narrative… you are probably not finding that in a Mario movie LMAO! (Though I wish we could have both.)

Lolo star jump!

Pre-Movie Absurdity.

Oh yeah, here’s something absurd that happened.

At the time when the movie was about to start, they played a short video of a guy recapping the story of the first movie so that we could watch the second movie well informed… which was odd because, y’know, the previous Mario movie didn’t have much TO recap. The story was pretty straightforward, it wasn’t this grand narrative that needed lore dumps.

It was a strange decision to make this video and play it just before the movie was about to start… but that wasn’t just it…

For no reason at all, the guy in the video just decided to start explaining stuff from the FILM WE WERE ABOUT TO WATCH!

HE JUST DECIDED TO INSERT SMALL SPOILERS ABOUT (most) ALL THE CAMEOS IN THE MOVIE WE WERE ABOUT TO WATCH!?

I couldn’t believe it! How was that a good idea??

I’ll quote the reaction of the one guy in my theater that expressed his reaction outloud: "W-Why did you spoil the movie bro?"

From looking around, it seems like the version of the video I watched had cuts, because from other people’s comments, the video was longer and had even more spoilers about movie 2… I just don’t understand man…

Anyway, I guess that’s it for this blog. I have rambled enough about this movie.

Bery Bood!

Berries! You love them right? I know you do!

Here, Berry Bro (or Brodette), I got a very cool game I played recently that will satisfy your berry needs: Berry Bury Berry!

The premise is simple: you have a flower that generates berries, you pick up a berry and throw it in the mysterious deep hole. Hole gives you money for berries, you collect money and then comes nighttime where you need to go to bed to buy your upgrades to start the cycle again.

This is one of those incremental games where the number goes up, you feel dopamine and then repeat over and over again. Very fun one too!

For me, this one stands out because you have more control over the gameplay than most of these games where you just watch the number go up. You are a player in the world and YOU utilize the tools you buy to get more berries into the hole.

Me utilizing my tools as a first time weakling.

After getting some money you can vacuum which will pull berries towards you and store a limited amount of them. It’s a good upgrade concept, but since you are a player in the world utilizing this tool, you can take full advantage of this mechanic!

When the vacuum contacts a berry, the berry will slowly be dragged to you no matter what until it enters the vacuum itself or you stop holding the button. You see where this is going?

Let’s say you got a pile of berries, but you can only hold 8 berries in your vacuum, well, with this tech that is no problem! Start vacuuming the pile then run to the hole and watch as all the berries follow close behind you and all fall into the hole!

I really liked that the player’s creativity can affect the process of numbers going up!

You also got powers to increase berry production and send them to the hole all at once!

Rabbit Hole!

Oh yeah, about the hole, you can move your hole!

The game is full of props all over the place and if you get them to fall down the hole, you will be rewarded with stars which you can use to get better berries like strawberries and even bananas!

Once a prop falls down the hole, it is gone forever and you would be surprised how addictive it is to clean the entire area from all the silly props and gnomes…

Beast ravages.

I guess I should talk about a small elephant in this game, it has a narrative.

This is the part I didn’t care much about honestly, so I can’t really talk about it. But the play area has some puzzles for you to solve which gives you tapes that tell a spooky story about a woman and her extreme actions towards her TV show.

Thankfully, the game doesn’t stop to force you to listen to the story mid gameplay, you just do the puzzles and have fun with it.

Gnome party!

Berry Buy!

But anyway, it's not a long game. I had a lot of fun playing it and uncovering its secrets!

I completed it in about 8 hours and getting all the achivos was fun enough to try.

So, Berry Bro (or Brodette), if you are looking for your next fun berry hit, this is a game you should check it out!

I have a couple small things I wanna do this month which will definitely be in this blog, so look forward to that!

The Travelling Cat Chronicles

Made by Hiro Arikawa

(Using the Portuguese cover for this one cause I like it better than the others.)

After reading The Library of Secret Dreams (not the official name of that book), I went looking for other similar books to read, and ended up finding this one.

Here’s a quick synopsis:

Satoru Miyawaki adopted a stray cat after the poor animal suffered a severe injury from being runned over by a car. He named the little feline “Nana” and together they lived a very happy 5 years together… until the day he couldn’t keep the cat anymore.

For a few reasons, he had to give the cat a new home, so he went through many of his contacts throughout his life, asking if they could keep the cat.

Both of them go on one final journey, while we learn about Miyawaki’s life, the many friends that he impacted, and to hopefully find a new home for Nana.

As described by the synopsis, this book’s chapters are separated by chapters, which focus on the friends Miyawaki is visiting. Learning about how they come to meet for the first time and their friendship through the years, from Miyawaki’s perspective AND through the cat’s perspective hearing these stories from them.

My favorite parts were the ones where the cat took over the narration actually. Nana is very sassy and it’s always fun to see him react in completely unusual ways that the human characters can’t ever know, because cats can’t speak human language.

Something I also enjoyed was that they stopped in various places before getting to their destinations, which added to the comfy road trip feel the book went with… well, kind of!

Nana brought a lot of comedy to this book, which a lot of the times, was very heavy on the heart.

The stories of Miyawaki’s friends are a bit sad, but they aren’t depressing tales.

But yeah, if you are going to read this book, make sure to get some tissues ready for tears.

I don’t want to get into spoilers, but here’s what I will say: I liked how everything wrapped up by the ending.

Going through this adventure, learning who Miyawaki was and how despite all the things that happened, he still keeps on smiling is… inspiring man.

I like how the reasons for Miyawaki’s sudden need to find Nana a new owner is sprinkled through the chapters as well.

The final friend he Miyawaki meets is probably my favorite chapter, but that’s something I’ll let you discover for yourself!

This book is a sad but happy story about a cat and his owner, going on a road trip over the country, meeting old friends and seeing fantastical vistas!

That’s why you should read it!

5/5! Heart touching story!

Here’s the Roa I drew for today:

A pink cat on a trip!

(Side note: All this cat stuff happening in blogs recently is completely unintentional by the way, it all just started happening at once.)

Tower Defense At Its Prime!

I found this cool game while browsing the Tower Defense sale on Steam a couple of days ago.

I looked into it and a lot of the screenshots really reminded me of the Kingdom Rush style of gameplay, so there was no choice for me! I had to check it out!

Spoiler alert: I really liked the game!

In case you don’t know what I mean by KR style, the map you have to defend has a fixed route for the enemies and you have determined places where you can place your towers. But aside from this solid base for stages, this game does a lot more things differently! Even sometimes better than the series they take inspiration from!

The main mechanic of the game is that YOU, yes YOU the player, is a pawn in the battlefield. You can walk around the stage, interact with objects, hopelessly hold enemies and… dance!

The graphics & animations of this game are really cute and fun!

You can’t place towers with your mouse, you have to go to a designated spot on the map to buy/sell them, then bring said tower to their building spot to place them. You can grab already placed towers and move them around as well!

This made the TD formula much more frenetic, because now you have to move around the map moving and replacing towers on spots where you might need them more, while still looking at the entire map to strategize your next move.

Your player character doesn’t do just that, some stages have small gimmicks that require your input and they are always so cool to do while trying to defend against the endless hordes!

This mechanic is used in many fun ways!

You can even have a sword! (At the cost of some lifes!)

As for towers, they can be specialized into 3 different types based on their main archetype, which is very old school Kingdom Rush! But again, the game forms his own identity by giving each specialization 4 attributes that you can choose, unlocked by beating challenges. These give towers new abilities or even change how they work!

For example, the basic archer tower, you can use the one that makes them shoot 2 arrows instead of one, or every sixth they do a strong attack that stuns the enemy!

These attributes add so much to the strategy aspect and it’s fun to unlock them, since the challenges are focused on showcasing these new powers!

Fight Pani Fight

Even the hero system from KR is expanded here! Pani is the only hero in this game, but you get many forms of her that behave differently to each other.

Some forms are proper towers, others on field units and there’s even one that attacks within your tower's ranges!

Here's a Lolo I made in the image of Pani!

This game is great! I really enjoyed my playthrough, testing a bunch of strategies and getting all the achievements. And I love that it carved out its own identity while still paying tribute to the other juggernauts in the genre.

The only thing I think this game did wrong was not having an original OST, I think a lot of the songs are licensed songs cause I'm pretty sure I heard a few of them on youtube videos. But even that is not a big deal, because the songs are still good to listen to and fit the areas.

I absolutely recommend you check this one out, even for the people who want a chillier time! The game has good difficulty settings and even the most hardcore mode isn't impossible! I mean, I managed to beat the game on that mode, with a couple retries of course. If I can do it, then YOU can because I suck at bideo gmaes!

That's all I wanted to yap about!

The game is getting a new DLC sometime in the future, so expect a follow up on this blog when that releases!

(In case you are wondering about the newest DLC released for KR: Alliance, or the newest game announced, I'm just not in the mood to finish the new content right now and I'm still waiting for more info on Genesis.)

The 3rd Anniversary Is Here!

It has been 3 years?? Sometimes it feels like I started doing this forever ago…

Welp, Imma take this opportunity to do some announcements!

We have tons of things for this story in the works right now, but, and sorry to disappoint, none of them are ready to be released today due to some amount of laziness and a creative block. I was hoping I would be able to get things ready but oh well, it happens.

Let’s talk about how cool these things are though!

There are 3 major features coming to Phoenix Club in the near future!

The first is: Index Page Major Update!

This update will be a complete remake of the “chapter section” to make it more intuitive and cool!

Here’s a WIP!

Chapters will be separated into volumes and each volume will feature a wonderfully drawn cover! Y’know, like a real book! But virtual!

The chapters themselves will use the social media post arts we made so far… which is funny, cause we had to retroactively make new ones for chapter 2 & 3, since they didn’t have one!

By the way, did you know the logo slightly changed?

The second major feature is: Panel Art For Chapters 7 And 8 Are On The Works!

Drawn by the amazing artist Scrimblo, as usual!

Nothing to show right now in particular, things are still in early production, but here’s a character sheet they developed from my badly drawn scribbles:

You probably know who this is, but not by name!

Scrimblo does amazing work and I can’t wait to see the final art! Please go visit their website by Clicking Here!

And the last feature is: Chapter 15.5 and Mini 2 Are Being Worked On!

…Kind of worked on!

As mentioned previously, I’m having a bit of a creative block right now and the thing that is suffering the most right now is chapter 15.5. I have all the ideas and I know everything I want to write… but I have been struggling to sit down and just write it.

At least this chapter has a 80% complete first draft.

But it’s not all bad news, Mini 2 has gotten a lot of great progress! We are basically out of the conceptual stage and have the draft of it almost ready! Just gotta change and tweak a few things at the start and then it will be ready for the artist to go wild!

Here’s some bad art for me that will be turned into good art by someone else!

I plan to release Chapter 15.5, Mini 2 and the Page Update all together at the same time!

But I don’t have an exact date to share since… a lot of it suffered delays because of me. Trying my best though!

As for what you can expect for the far future…

I’m on the collecting and refining idea stage for the next arc of the story, or I guess you can call it Volume 4 now.

This one will be quite an unusual one, for me and you! I have a vague but solid idea of what I want to do, but I need to decide on how I want to tell this story.

My main goal is to make this Volume more focused and smaller than the previous ones, so we will see how that will end up.

And I believe that’s everything for announcements.

Man, 3 years is still a long time.

I love this story a lot, and if I can be honest, one of the few things I can truly feel proud of creating… even if it’s still badly written for the most part…

-Anyway, I just find it so wild to sometimes look back on all this and think “this, is my creation?”

I don’t know how to describe it, but it feels nice to leave my mark on the internet! Even if less than 0.0001% will ever see it… not that I really care about that.

I’m making this story more for me than anyone else, and I enjoy making it!

So I will continue to make it until it reaches the end!

Thanks to all the amazing artists who helped me turn these silly little words into life with their amazing drawings, and thank you for reading the story & this blog!

I can’t wait so see you again!

What A Great First Episode!

I still can't believe the anime is really here…

I watched with high expectations and I was completely blown away by how solid this first episode is!

This first section of the manga was pretty slow for me when I was reading, so I was both curious and scared when the staff talked about how they were going to move stuff around and change other things to turn this part into a one big special episode.

But after seeing for myself, I really like what they did here.

The pace is pretty fast and I love that they REALLY leaned into the racing aspect of this early section! 40+ minutes felt like it was 10 and I want to see more!!!

Since I can't show anything, here's a daring Roa.

The animation was fantastic, the voice acting (both in english & japanese) was pretty good, the music added a lot to the scenes and the general artwork was so great!

I like that we got to hear (what I assume what will be) the characters' themes during their scenes of this race. Johnny's theme using aspects of all the other Jojo themes was just chef's kiss!

I don’t really have any nitpicks as well, at least not from the top of my head. This was a really solid first episode!

If the quality is this high for the entire anime, this for sure will be a worthy adaptation for this great story!

Oh man, I feel so sorry for the poor employees that had to storyboard an arc later which I won’t spoil for the people seeing this for the first time… I hope they get a raise for putting the nonsense on a coherent line!

Mewgenics Almost Done!

Here’s the check for my progress in Mewgenics after a month of gaming!

This game has skyrocketed to one of my favorite games of all time at record pace!

I just find it so fun to get cats set up for a run, get as far as I can, then get said cats breed so that future cats can inherit their mutations/ skills/ passives and then mix & match them with other classes, repeating the whole process over again!

Here's a proper Lolo cat!

This game also scratches that itch of TBOI I have of seeing a bunch of synergies take place and then do a billion damage to the enemies. When you get a synergy up and running, it feels so good~

I had a run with one of my favorite classes a bit ago, the monk, where I got him to inherit a passive from the cleric class that causes enemies to become confused when hit by their basic attack. It’s a bit mid on a cleric, but when I used it on a monk, it turned OP!

Don't sleep on fighters too, they go crazy too!

The monk class can use their basic attack twice at base, and he can switch between ranged and melee attack at whim, so he can apply a bunch of confusion to enemies and make them kill themselves!

This was taken to hyperdrive after I got that cleric passive upgrade, which added a chance to STUN the enemy instead of confusing them. Any enemy he touched basically couldn’t play the game anymore.

That’s the kind of stuff that keeps me addicted, seeing other classes utilize passives they weren’t supposed to and just breaking the game.

More Good Stuff!

Other things I liked about the game is that the home boss fights are quite fun, utilizing cats that were in runs to fight a big bad was a great idea! The fight with the two kaijus fighting each other was a special highlight for me, a very fun concept fighting kaijus that are fighting themselves.

The some bosses after you get to act 3 are also CRAZY funny, especially the future ones LMAO!

I was SHOCKED when I saw that The Bloat was back! More annoying than ever!!

Even angels look like TBOI angels!

I like that losing a cat/ playing with fewer than 4 cats is not an instant lost run. I played many runs with 3 or fewer cats and they were still able to hold their own. Because when you have less cats, the ones in your party will get more level ups and you will be able to more fine tune their builds!

For those wondering, I choose Zaratana!

The cat's designs are wonderfully messed up (even more so if you add mutations to them) and the fact that they can inherit names from your friend’s list is even funnier. I also love that cats with negative Intelligence/ are brain dead can’t read any event tile is such a funny detail.

Check out this beauty of nature I have!

Oh man, the OST is such a killer one! I can’t even begin to describe how much I love it.

So many genres, the fact the lyrics only kick in when you fight a boss and even the small details with the boss entrance melodies or the unga bunga version of a song exclusive to that one area…

I went to buy the soundtrack on Bandicamp and I couldn't believe that Planet Ridiculon was charging TEN DOLLARS for it! INSANE PRICE, RIDICULOUS EVEN!!

So I bought it for twenty instead!

Expect a long streak of Mewgenics songs in the Song of The Day.

Probably the funniest intro gag I had.

Small Annoyances.

The only thing I don’t like about the game at the moment is the managing of cats in my house. Everything is so disorganized and hard to control, I just gotta pray that the right cat gets the right inherent mutation/ passive/ skill…

Then again, it might be a problem with me cause I have over 60 cats and everyday I had to trash 15+ cats a day… who knows.

I would love to have a menu that was a concise list of all the cats, their stats and all the info you need to judge if a cat should stay or not.

Getting quests that you failed again is kind of annoying too, because you can only hold 5 quest items at a time, for some reason.

This is how my house looks after 150+ hours!

Game of The Year!

But yeah, those are minor annoyances at the end of the day.

I love this game to death, most likely my game of the year for this! That’s right, time to close up shop, this won already!

I’ll make another blog when I beat the game, with my list of favorite songs, classes and all that good stuff!

Very Changing!

It has been long enough, time for a roundup of all the changes on the website since January!

- Art Page was Completely Remade! (Click Here to Go There)

Now you don’t need to hover over anything to see details about, they are just below the art! I also got rid of all the extra pages by condensing all of them into one, no longer will I need a page for each year, now it’s all one page!

The page still lacks something to be honest, but I’m sure I’ll figure out what someday.

Pudd and Miku hammer because today is Miku day apparently

- Remade The Sitebox For Nekoweb!

I decided to do this in preparation for the rewrite of all the standard pages that will come eventually.

I’m sure some of you noticed that two mysterious characters have been invading some themed blogs. I plan to make those two also mascots of the website, just like Pudd!

Pudd, Lolo and Roa!

So I decided to update the Sitebox to reflect this change… even if the change is not here right now…

I’m probably going to update it again to be better, because I kind of don’t like how it looks right now.

- Added Webtile Embed! (Click Here to Go There)

Me and some friends engaged with the webtile event!

I added the embed of my tile to the Misc Page with some css to make it funny as well!

- Added All Custom Filter Buttons!

It finally happened!

All the filter buttons have unique themes!

It took a long time, but now it looks so colorful and cool! (If you don’t see it, do a full refresh with CTRL + F5!)

- Other Smaller Stuff!

The Blog was updated to have custom themes and IDs.

Added 19 images to the R.M.I.Y. in the Home Page, now it’s up to exactly 250 images!

Continuous maintenance on the Game Shelf page as usual. (Although it has not seen action since I started play Mewgenics… and only playing Mewgenics.)

Actually, on that note, for those wondering about my FFXVI playthrough and Sonic Journey, those are not dead!

My controller is busted (god, why is the Pro Controller so good but so bad with drift…), so I’m waiting to see the price of the Steam Controller to decide if I’m going to buy that or an 8bitdo one.

So yeah, those two are in stasis until I get a controller that just… lasts…

Why am I so unlucky with controllers…

And that’s all the changes in the website as of now!

Thank you for reading!

Time Flew By!

It has been two months already!

I really like this blog layout~

They have become so much easier and effortless to make.

I made a list of topics that I just chuck ideas at from once in a while, and I can just pick one, write and then post it… like a real blog…

A-Anyway, since the launch, I added a few things to it!

Like IDs, which I still don’t know how to use or what purpose they will have… but it’s good to have them for the future!

But my new favorite addition is definitely the custom themes! I can customize blogs with specific blogs and show my love for that topic, I love it!

I can’t wait to make more of them!

The only thing missing from the blog is something for the tag/ Song of the day part, it feels so empty…

But yeah, I think that’s all I wanted to talk about, I really love making blogs again!

… Well, I didn’t hate it before but this feels more fun!
