Merry Christmas Everyone!

I don't have anything to share today, just wanted to come in and wish everyone who happen to stumble here a good Christmas.

I just consumed non-expired chocolate this year!

Anyway, Mimiya just had a very cool update that you should check it out and I made this drawing for today!

A Fun Christmas!

Helo!

Time for the last blog update of the year!

I’m gonna have to skip the 25th one cause things will get super busy around that time, work got hands…

There won’t be a book review as well today because of that reason, apologies!

Today's Features are: Phoenix Club Chapter 10 & 11 and Five Nights At Freddy’s 2!

Spoilers for those topics!

Let's Begin!

WEBSITE UPDATES

Phoenix Club Chapters 10 & 11 Are Out!

If you haven’t read them yet, you can go to the “Writing Page” or just Click Here!

After 3+ months of working on them, feels very satisfying to finally put them out to the world to see~

This time around I decided to vary the art for social media posts a bit by inviting different people to make them. Did you see how good they were? It’s INSANE! (They are also available to see in This Page!)

The guest artists did a wonderful job on those post arts!

Alright now for some fun things about the development of chapters 10 and 11. (Warning, this might include spoilers for those chapters)

Chapter 10 had a fair number of changes from the first draft to the final draft, more towards the second half of it. Chie’s backstory was changed in a few ways, she was far more angry at her inability to be social in the first draft, rather than the disappointed and defeated look she has on the final draft. Tying all this to her mother was also something I didn’t think about until I was making the final draft, which ended up being a far more compelling and interesting idea, because now she was doing all this not for just herself, but for someone she cares about a lot!

Oh yeah, fun fact, during the pamphlet scene, I forgot to write the part about when the interview would take place. Something so important… yet I forgot…

Chapter 11 stayed pretty much the same from the first draft to the final one, I only added a few small scenes here or there for more character interactions.

The big changes came when I was writing down all the ideas to then make the first draft!

That final scene with Yuki, that was originally NOT part of my ideas for this chapter! Which for reasons I can’t talk about right now, would’ve been a baffling decision.

But yeah, these chapters didn’t change a lot during the writing process.

The one common mistake I made that my editor pointed out (aside from typos) this time around was the fact that made Seiko describe more than talking.

At multiple points I made her describe a scene and move on instead of writing the entire character interaction. Originally, I made this decision for pacing reasons, as I thought the chapters would be too long. But it ended up having a really bad effect on the story as a whole and made it more monotonous to read. It was a valuable lesson to learn, there’s a balance to strike with dialogue and narration. You can’t have too much of one or the other, both gotta coexist in harmony.

Something new you might have noticed in these chapters, especially chapter 10, is that I’m using more of the website format to tell the story! I.E. the pamphlet section on chapter 10 or the many font size changes around the chapters.

I wanna utilize html and css tools more to add some flair to the story, but I want to do it in a way that wouldn’t break the immersion or take the attention away from the story.

It’s gonna be a difficult thing to figure out, but I’m gonna try my best!

And that’s all for Phoenix Club for this blog update, I had a lot of fun writing these chapters and I hope you have just as much fun reading them!

Look forward to chapter 12 next week

Here’s a special Seiko drawing I made for this occasion:

If you read the chapters so far, you know Seiko's Pajama and who the person with the mask is~

Oh, and for website news, not much changed. Just added a few more custom filter buttons and made some changes to create consistency between all of them!

LIFE UPDATES

Imma be honest, I completely forgot this was happening until recently. That has been the case with most things FNAF related actually.

So I watched movie and I think the experience can be summarized as such:

“As a FNAF fan, this was peak.

As a normal person, this was terrible.”

Lots of things in this movie just sorta happen, get no explanation and are not brought up again, which makes for a bad experience for normal people. But as fans of the series, we know how these things work, so it makes it peak!

I enjoyed this movie, seeing all these story elements being mixed and remixed for this theatrical narrative was quite fun to experience. The animatronics looked huge and awesome, great work on those!

The stakes were much higher than the previous, which was both a good and a silly thing. If you watched the movie, you know what I’m saying… it was like the avengers showed up to solve the conflict LMAO!

The ending was very weak in my opinion, because it’s a cliffhanger one that ties in to the third movie that is in production. Even then, the film just feels like it just… ends very suddenly.

Michael Afton’s actor did an awesome job playing the character, he looked like this creepy guy with a few screw looses on his head. Shame that he doesn’t get much screentime, gets punched in the face and disappears from the movie. Cool interpretation of the character though!

I can’t show images of a movie currently airing, so have this image of the big bear in plushie form.

For how scary this horror movie is… I’m not a good judge of that. I found most of the jumpscares quite goofy and silly rather than scary, I was more interested in seeing how the story develops instead of the spooky factor.

The puppet ones were specially goofy, they just lunged towards the camera like there’s zero gravity, I had to hold back laughter.

A lot of the things in this movie also don’t make sense when you really think about it sometimes. I saw that Scott Cawthon wrote the screenplay all by himself and, while that’s very cool, I do think he needs a cowriter to keep things in check. The humans in this movie sometimes don’t act like ones…

Here's another random image.

My review of this movie is basically what I said at the start.

If you are a FNAF fan, then I recommend you watch it. You are gonna be hooked from start to finish pointing at all the references you know and seeing a familiar story being retold.

If you are a normal horror movie viewer, you won’t find this movie scary or compelling. Too many things require prior research and the scares are too goofy to be scared of.

Personally, I enjoyed my time as a FNAF fan, a super enjoyable movie.

Talking about watching stuff--

The Annual Tradition To Watch The Game Awards Continues!

Though there’s not much for me to say about it…

At this point, I’m more watching for the reveals rather than awards. Treating it more like an E3 event. There weren't many reveals that particularly interested me however.

Of course, I had the Half-Life copium in me, but just for fun, we knew it wouldn’t be announced at the TGA. Reddit went crazy though!

Did you hear about the theory that HLX would be announced at the event, because the pizzeria near the Valve HQ was booming with business on the night of the event?

People thought it was the employees ordering pizza to watch the event they were the star of. I thought that was hilarious!

In case you are wondering, yes, the subreddit has gone full silkpost mode now.

But anyway, Expedition 33 won quite a lot of awards ay?

I haven’t played the game myself (I will in the near future, I promise!), so I can’t confirm it deserved all of them. But I do think there should be a cap on how many nominations a game can have, or at least making the awards towards the end of the show more prestigious. It got a little repetitive to see the same game win over and over again.

Awesome musical!

But you know what’s my favorite moment on all of TGA’s so far? Aside from The Muppets segments, which are consistently funny?

The Orchestra before the final award!

To me, this is a special moment where everyone forgets about any of this competition nonsense and are united under one medley to just celebrate the amazing games released this year. A moment where we just celebrate games as a whole!

At least that’s what this segment represents to me. A special moment where we forget any and all differences and just celebrate this art medium as a whole.

This year’s orchestra was awesome, I got chills during that last segment with vocals from Donkey Kong Bananza!

Flute guy pulling out a new instrument each and every time was funny as well.

But yeah, it’s always fun to watch this show for me… but putting a generic hero shooter as your final game announcement was… questionable…

SONG OF THE DAY

This was the obvious pick…

It's Been So Long by The Living Tombstone!

While this one didn’t have the same impact as the first one (mostly due to the weaker ending of the film), it was still super cool to see. All the references and secrets were super cool to see actually, a lot of moments to point at the screen to say “I know that!”

And that’s everything for this rambly blog! For this year too!

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!

See you in the new 2026, Internet Traveller!

Have a nice day!

05/12/2025

Helo!

December hell is here!

Work will be pushing me a lot during this month, so blog updates will be very short and sweet. Both because I have very little time to spare to write or any time in general!

Today's Features are: Phoenix Club TOMORROW and Risk of Rain 2!

Spoilers for those topics! (Except Phoenix Club!)

WEBSITE UPDATES

Phoenix Club Is Basically 100%!

All the writing part is basically done, the only thing left to do is write is the small ending part for chapter 15, which I will do after Saturday. Then there will be the correction for it and done! Simple as that!

Here’s the progress right now:

First Drafts - 100% - Completed

Final Draft - 90% Done

Corrections - 78 Done

Preparations For Release - 85% Done

Progress So Far - 88.25%

I reread all the chapters currently available and made some small tweaks and changes to the newer ones, while also fixing a lot of small mistakes throughout these website chapters.

Also, this will be the last time you will see these percentages, since the chapters will start releasing TOMORROW!

That’s right, Phoenix Club TOMORROW!

Here's our release schedule:

December 6th - Chapter 10: Different Today

December 13th - Chapter 11: First Step

December 20th - Chapter 12: Baristas in Action

January 10th - Chapter 13: At the Bottom, Again.

January 17th - Chapter 14: The Big Day

January 24th - Chapter 15: ??? (I need to figure out a title for this one still...)

There will be 3 chapters released every Saturday this month and then we are going on a bit of a holiday break for Christmas and New Years, but after that, we release the next 3.

…in reality, it’s not really a holiday break for me, work just gets too heavy to deal with during that period. So I would rather not have any other obligations other than surviving.

You can check the Index Page anytime you need to remember the dates, they are all there.

So look forward to these chapters!

For the website itself, I added some new custom filter button images, did some minor improvements to the home themes and left a Christmas present at the Home Page, go check it out!

And that’s all for today, here’s today’s Pudd:

Pudd would be an Acrid for sure.

LIFE UPDATES

Risking All My Time In The Rain (2)!

This is what I have been playing with most of my free time.

The new DLC for Risk of Rain 2 has fully revived my interest towards this game and I’m enjoying every single second of it.

During this month, I need a really chill game I can just relax with, and this is perfect!

REXing the new boss!

I finally got my first gold level in Eclipse! While it’s not an impressive thing, it’s just winning with each character once on Eclipse, I’m still proud that I was able to do it!

I also unlocked all the alternative abilities for all the survivors and started to learn drifter… man, such a fun character! I love the many uses Junk Cube has and the massive, game breaking utility of Tinker.

EPIC drone gameplay

My only small complaint is that you can’t accept the new final boss’ offer on eclipse, since that mode auto locks you into fighting Mythrix. It’s a shame I can’t unlock some of the cool new skins in this mode, but that’s a very small complaint at the end of the day.

Awesome DLC, I love this new content and challenges!

SONG OF THE DAY

I Am… All Of Me by Crush 40!

Look, I get it. The game tries REALLY hard to be edgy and all that.

But a good song to listen to is a good song to LISTEN to! Crush 40 does amazing work for this franchise.

And that’s everything for this blog!

(Told you it would be short, didn’t I?)

Now if you excuse me, I have to survive another day of work and watch a bear movie later.

See you next time, Internet Traveller!

Have a nice day!
