Helo!

Time to finish off the month of August with a rather short blog update!

Things are really picking up the pace, so much is happening!

Today’s features are: The Library of Secret Dreams, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Deadlock’s Newest Update! (Longest one yet!)

Spoilers for those topics!

Let’s begin!

WEBSITE UPDATES

Phoenix Club Writing Has Begun!

Finally happening! Wow! Took so long but it’s here!

I started putting all the ideas I accumulated over these months on paper, and things are already not going quite as I imagined… kinda.

Initially, I planned to be only 5 chapters long, but that might not be the case anymore. It might be longer! By how much? I have no idea.

I’m having a little trouble with the middle part of this arc, as that part of the story was the least polished section in my thoughts, but things are moving along. That also means I can’t really give any proper gauge of progress like last time, at least not right now. After I’m done with this part of the process, I’ll do the %s thing I did last time.

I also learned more about my style of writing. I’m a very slow writer that, if stuck on something, I rather wait for the next day then tackle a problem then push through it. To the dismay of everyone. that makes the writing process super slow… but it does help a lot to develop some scenes.

Aside from that, the work on the chapter 6 panel is going smoothly! No other updates on the other things mentioned last time though, reading a book, trying to finish a game I started on a whim, playing a new game and seeing a recent game update took A LOT of my free time in recent days.

That’s all for this news segment, here’s the drawing I did for today:

By the way, check out the evolution of the Hollow Knight enemy I drew there, the first stage was so funny:

Funny evolution!

BOOK OF THE DAY

Pudding finally grew a spine on his back and decided to go beyond his comfort zone of reading books related to series he already knew.

Today we have a Light Novel recommendation that is an original story:

The Library of Secret Dreams (It’s not the official localized name, but I like this one more than “What You Are Looking For Is in a Library”.)

Osagashimono wa Toshoshitsu made

Written by Michiko Aoyama!

Have you ever felt lost?

In this book, you will read the independent story of five people who are feeling lost in their life. From a recent graduate just getting to work, to an old retired man wondering where to go next. These stories have one thing in common: They all visit a library at a community center in Tokyo and meet a lady called Komachi. Who offers them a weird book recommendation and a strange freebie.

Did they find what they were looking for in that library? Can you find what you are looking for?

This is a book of 5 stories, so we have 5 different protagonists in different situations, but what they all have in common is that they are feeling lost in their life. But of course, tying these stories together is the visit to that library and meeting Ms. Komachi mentioned in the synopsis.

You will get a lot of perspective in a lot of walks of life and that’s my favorite part of this book honestly. Reading about their particular problems and how these characters eventually find a way to deal with them is very engaging. I also thought the solution to the problems was very thoughtful. It didn't boil down to “follow your dreams blindly”, it was way more grounded in reality.

Another thing I liked about this book is how it connects these stories together. These characters are not living in their own bubble, there're characters from one story that might appear or be off-handedly mentioned in another. These become more frequent with each story as well! By the end, you get a feel of a very lived world.

Another thing I really liked is that we learn about the characters in the library through one of these stories. Not spoiling anything here of course, but it was very fun!

If I had to pick a favorite from these 5, I would say the 4th is my favorite because the protagonist is super fun and has very relevant problems to what I sometimes feel when doing artistic things. While my second favorite is the 3rd for the emotional weight it has…

I kind of bought this book on a whim while I was going for a walk. I read the title and from the description at the back, I thought I would like it. I’m very glad I did this, I REALLY liked this book!

Score: 5/5! Absolutely recommend it!

LIFE UPDATES

A Link For a Past Guestbook Message!

I played my first ever The Legend of Zelda game: A Link to the Past.

Firstly, I definitely can see where all the inspiration from The Binding of Isaac and Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest came from.

Exploring and solving puzzles in this game feels great and rewarding sometimes. For the first few hours of the game, pretty until I got the Master Sword, I was having fun!

But after that point, the game got a little too hands off with the experience…

I found myself constantly wandering around for hours trying to find where I needed to go or what item I needed to progress in the game. The sense of wonder quickly dissipated after I was just lost not knowing what to do.

This is the type of game where, if this was the only game you had as a child, you would love it to death. There’s many secrets and puzzles to solve that aren’t clear to the first or even second playthrough. Requiring a lot of exploration, searching and thinking by the player.

However, this becomes a problem for me, who doesn’t have that much spare time nor does like to wander aimlessly in search of the one item required to progress. I needed a guide to play this game, and dare I say it, this made the game a lot more fun to play through.

Because anytime I felt lost, I could just consult the guide! Knowing where to go really helped me enjoy this game more.

It’s a really good game, I enjoyed it a lot. But I definitely recommend following a guide if you don’t want to waste a lot of time looking for what’s next to do.

Deadlock Update A Week Ago!

Deadlock patch finally dropped guys!

This newest major update brought us 6 new heroes, a new playable menu and a bunch of huge art passes all over the place!

The map looks gorgeous, each side has their distinct atmosphere and the time of day reflects the time of day in the map! So if you play during the night, the map will be at night time! The map looks lovely at night by the way, definitely my favorite part of the art passes. I usually only have time to play this game during the night, so this is a perfect win for me!

The new menu is great, I can have fun and test things out with friends while I wait for a match. More games should take note of this, if you are going to introduce matchmaking, don’t make your players just stare at a waiting screen, give them something to do!

The new characters are super interesting, we got a super glass cannon vampire girl, a punk goat that is the perfect for beating the crap out of people and the doorman…

The doorman is the best one so far too! He has the usual abilities you expect from a MOBA, an AOE explosion and the ability to displace and stun people. But what’s unique about him is that he can think with portals!

He has an ability that is basically a portal gun on command, opening up SO MANY opportunities and strategies for what you could do. For example:

In a pickle? surrounded by enemies? just, confuse them with your portals, or if you had placed a portal before fighting, teleport away!

Can’t quite finish a kill because your opponent is hiding? Place portals for a better angle to kill them!

Someone giving you a hard time? Put a portal on your base and catch them by surprise with an entrance portal right to your base, using your displace ability to guarantee they go through the portal and get destroyed by spawn protection!

Want to make the enemy's life absolutely miserable? Work with your friendly Bebop and commit war crimes with portal hooks! (Don’t forget to close the portal right after they go through!)

As you can see, there’s a lot of fun and creativity to be had with an on-demand portal gun. His ultimate ability is also unique, he teleports an enemy player in front of him to a pocket space where, if they fail to exit, they take big damage. Perfect tool to take someone problematic out of a fight, or to set up a trap for when they come back!

The only criticism I have for this update is that the character releases are staggered. We have to vote for who will come next and the most popular is released at the end of the 2 day vote period. Waiting for them to release kinda sucks, but it’s very fun seeing the voting alliances and wars forming from these votes.

At least we know they all will be released at the end of the day, so this is just fun community interaction. My votes are going to Victor, I like this take on the Frankenstein monster and I wanna see what a true tank looks like in Deadlock.

Breaking News, Paige just won!

Hollow Knigh- SILKSONG HAS A RELEASE DATE GUYS!!!!

SILKSONG IN JUST A FEW DAYS!!!

In commemoration of this grand announcement, I started my replay of Hollow Knight to then play Silksong.

My first playthrough was super funny and stupid. I somehow never picked up the pen that allows you to record the map, so I would just draw the maps on Paint AND I somehow skipped all blade upgrades, I was spending 10+ minutes just to kill ONE boss sometimes. I almost beat the entire game like, if it wasn’t for divine intervention… I was watching a friend play the game, seeing him kill things really fast and having a proper map, so I asked him how he was doing that… If I never watched that Discord stream… In the end, I ended up not beating the game cause I lost interest.

This time, I plan to not be dumb and actually play the game the proper way, like a normal human would!

and I already appreciate the game way more than last time. The vibes, the music, the art style, everything comes together to make this phenomenal somber feeling. The tight gameplay and recording the map at every save point gives an awesome sense of progression too~

Man, this game is really amazing!

Also, congrats to the believers from the Silksanity saga. I have been looking into the activity of that subreddit for a long time now. It was quite the journey!

SONG OF THE DAY

Regulus by Yuuyu!

My new favorite thing in songs is playing a short version of the main melody right at the end. Extra points if it’s done on a piano! Also this song is REALLY good, Yuuyu is crazy good!

And that concludes August! I definitely feel the pace of things picking up at a rapid pace while I stumble to catch up a bit. But as long as things keep moving forward, everything will be fine!

Thank you for reading!

See you next month, Internet Traveller!

Have a nice day!

15/08/2025

Helo!

Today we got some fun news to share and other fun things that will also be shared!

Today’s features are: SEIKO IN STARDEW VALLEY (real!), Sonic Journey and UFO 50!

Spoilers for those topics!

Let’s begin!

WEBSITE UPDATES

Return to the Stars is Finished!

Finally done! After a whole year and a half after!

You can click This Link to read it if you wish to do so!

I also made a small “Afterword” page explaining why I took so long to make them and few other things related to it. I don’t have much more to say than I didn’t already say on that page.

Overall it was a fun project to work on, despite the low moments. I’ll not do fanfiction again though, this feels weird to write sometimes… LMAO

Phoenix Club News!

As we approach my self-imposed deadline, things begin to move again!

First some news about the current pages, I added a new section at the bottom of the page! Now every time typos, mistakes or something smaller are changed/ fixed, I’ll make sure to write the day and what was changed in which chapter. I’ll also write there when I put more fanart and panels to chapters too! It’s a pretty good thing to have, since a lot of those changes get lost in this massive, and very wordy, blog.

Talking about major fumbles… okay some context first! Me and my Editor have a pretty funny proofreading and editing process, where my Editor sometimes hides jokes and changes words around to get a laugh out of me. It’s all fun and games, but I accidentally let one of these slip through the cracks… In chapter 6, when Seiko is defending Chie, my editor changed the word “friend” to “girlfriend”... and I didn’t notice that until recently…

To be clear here, that is a mistake on my part. Seiko and Chie are not girlfriends right now and that was a genuine AND VERY FUNNY fuck up I did. I know it’s my mistake, but I’ll still blame Miya for it.

Rest assured, huge mistakes like these will not happen again.

Alright, for the actual “On the Works” news!

As I said before, I’ll start the writing process for the next 4-5 chapters of the story after this blog update. I don't have an exact date to give to when these will be released, but I’m excited to get back into it! Chapter 9.5 added a lot of pieces for me to move and I can’t wait to write some of the days I have been thinking about for the past few months.

I have also commissioned Scrimblo to make the chapter 6 panel, and as per usual, they are doing amazing work on it! Here, check out the comparison between my rough sketch and their polished sketch:

I love this silly panel!

Aside from one super secret project I’m working on, I also decided to take a shot at the character creator of Castle Crashers. I’m trying to add this mysterious “Knight of Flame” with armor inspired by the hit game Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest:

Mysterious Knight of Flame!

… it’s not what one would consider good, I’m completely AWFUL at drawing with angles, but I’m having fun doing this!

And that’s about it for all the news. A lot of things are moving at the same time, isn’t it?

Here's the art for today:

“I think this corn is cool so I'll take it.”

LIFE UPDATES

SEIKO IN STARDEW VALLEY! (NOT CLICKBAIT!) (REAL!)

Phoenix Farm is back!

After playing more of Atelier Sophie, I ended up not liking the game as much as I thought I would. It just stopped clicking with me after a while.

So I went on the hunt for a cozy game to play on my Steam Deck.

After some funny hijinx with Miya, I discovered the desktop mode for the deck, and that moment sealed my fate. I was going to mod Stardew Valley and make that game my “cozy deck game”!

And oh my god, what a perfect game to play on the go!

I can easily hop in, play for how much time I want, then leave with no problems at all. Everything I do counts towards some kind of progress and the game never gets “super difficult” that requires more of my attention to play, a perfect game to just play during non working hours.

For this playthrough, I decided to bring back something I did last year for a one-off: Phoenix Farm!

SEIKO IS REAL!

I also installed the Stardew Valley Expanded mod, which is a vanilla-like expansion for the game that adds tons and tons of new content to explore. Content that also feels super natural to the game, at no point on my playthrough I was like “This feels modded”, it's all so seamless!

I absolutely recommend this game if you have never played it, and I recommend you check out that mod if you did play it before! It 's pretty good!

Throwback to last year!

Sonic Journey (Sponsored by Miya)

Sonic Advance 1!

It feels good to play good Sonic games…

The Advance series returns to the classic 2D style games where you are placed on a level with many paths, you just have to get to the end in the fastest way possible.

It feels so good to finally play a solid game with no strings attached, after the tragedy that was the Adventure series.

Just good ol' speeding.

Sonic controls as you expect, the levels are good and you can actually go fast!

The other selectable characters are cool, tails is fun to play with his flying ability, knuckles is clunky with his abilities but still cool. Amy is just Sonic but worse…

Hey! You can't win them all! At the very least, you don't need to play as them to beat the game!

My only problem with this game, aside from the attack button being kind of useless and the bosses being fine at best, is the screen size. The GBA has such a small screen and that causes A LOT of problems when you are going fast and need to react quickly to what's ahead. There’s some frustration with running through a level and just dying in a split second because you couldn’t see what's ahead.

Tails cheesing levels!

Overall, though, this game is great!

Sonic Advance 2!

Advance 2 is a lot like the previous one, everything I said previously applies to this one. But this game also adds a “tricks” mechanic that allows you to course correct your direction on the fly after jumping off a spring/ other things that lock your movement. This adds so much depth to the game, because now you can use this to reach a place much higher up or just change directions without losing speed!

I had a lot of fun using it even if I wasn’t good at it!

Sonic is also very cool tricking.

Another new addition is a new character called Cream! She plays much like Tails but faster and her attack button is much more useful than the others.

The only sins this game commits is that screen size from the GBA… and also the HORRIFIC BOSSES!

The bosses in this game are all on rails and they are all REALLY bad. The speed during them is all out of wack, they have bad hitboxes and so many attacks will just hit you no matter what you do.

OH AND DON’T GET ME STARTED ON THE LIVES SYSTEM- [This rant was redacted due to being a polarizing topic. The only thing you need to know is that Pudding hates lives systems that punish you by replaying tons of previous levels, because you got a game over on a new level from not knowing what to expect. For those wondering, yes he did cheat infinite lives to not waste too much time redoing levels.]

Cheesing levels with Cream too!

This is a good game, but the bosses really bring it down a notch.

The Advance games have been such a change of pace from all that bad. This might be weird to say but… I'm having fun??

SEGA please rerelease these games on PC, so we can have bigger screen sizes and mod out the terrible bosses, thanks!

Anyways, here's the list right now:

Gold means beaten since last time.

My only memories with Sonic Heroes is being stuck on the first level of the game and never getting out of there when I was a child… So yeah, time to brace myself for the worst!

UFO 3!

UFO 50 is great!

On the topic of great games for the deck, that one is also great!

For those who don’t know, this is a collection of 50 NES-like games that range from platformers, to RPGs and even arcade type games! All under one cohesive style too!

Since last time, I tried a few more games, but recently I discovered 3 of my favorite ones back-to-back, and I want to talk about them!

The Big Bell Race: A racing game where you control a UFO on a race to the end of a single screen track. Everyone has 3 points of hell, hitting walls or being attacked by powers from other racers will take 1 point, reach zero and you will be sent back to the start of the lap! Also, you have a melee attack that will knock your opponents of the course, careful though, they also have it!

This is super chaotic, with 8 racers on a relatively small track (because the track is the size of 1 screen!) things can and will often go wrong often when the racers all conglomerate in one place. Despite that, the game is pretty simple and honestly kind of easy. Despite that, it was super fun to play!

Warptank: This is a puzzle game where you play as a tank that can only shoot up and warp in the direction he's aiming at! The objective of the game is to navigate the levels with this warp ability and find a way to the end!

It’s a simple concept but a super fun one to figure out the puzzles with. The levels are often cleverly designed and not impossible to figure out, well crafted puzzles. Even the level select is a stage, so you have to navigate your way to levels and solve puzzles to play more puzzles! But what made my mind explode was the moment slopes were introduced!

This added so much more depth to levels, now it was possible to warp in a diagonal direction but also you were able to go up slopes to completely change the direction of your warp! Of course, the game took full advantage of these new possibilities and made even more clever puzzles. And I didn’t even mention that all stages have a secret collectable that requires you to get into places that are very out of your way!

I absolutely loved this game, definitely my favorite out of the 50 here so far!

Porgy: Playing as a submarine, you must help a marine biologist explore the depths of the ocean to find out why all the marine life has been aggressive recently. It’s a cool metroidvania where you have a stamina system which limits how much you can explore before going back to the station to refuel. If your fuel is depleted, the submarine will explode and send you back to your station. Upgrades are also unique because… you need to bring them back to the station to actually get them! You can’t find something and that be it, you HAVE to haul it back to base while navigating the dangerous waters full of enemies that will take away your fuel.

I love metroidvanias, so I really enjoyed playing this one. Finding upgrades and having to find a way to bring it back home safe & sound was very intense and fun. The only problem with this game is that exploring super deep and having to make the trip back was getting a little annoying later on in the game, but even then, obtaining everything is not necessary to win!

I’m never hearing the songs for this game ever again though, I was getting a little insane after hearing them for so long…

From all that I tried so far: Barbuta, Ninpek and the ones I just mentioned were the ones I felt compelled to meet their gold cartridge requirements. For those who don’t know, UFO 50 has gold borders for the challenges you completed, which often is “get to the end of the game” or “get this high score that is pretty tough to get”. There’s an even bigger challenge though, cherry borders! Which are extreme challenges only for the insane… which I got for these 3 games I mentioned. It was tough but fun!

The beauty of UFO 50 is that, even if you don’t like a specific game, there’s 49 other games for you to try and you are bound to find some that you will love!

SONG OF THE DAY

We are going to be back on track with this one:

Live and Learn by Crush 40!

This is the main theme for Sonic Adventure 2 and it fits pretty well with the themes of the game. I much prefer this one over Open Your Heart, but both songs are awesome. Crush 40 crushed it in the song department! Despite my grievances with it, one thing that game didn’t disappoint was the OST and I know every game from now on will not in that regard!

and that’s all for today folks!

Phoenix Club will start shortly, so look forward to that when it’s done!

See you next time, Internet Traveller!

Have a nice day!

Let’s begin!

WEBSITE UPDATES

Major Things Moving!

Before starting this segment I have a big announcement to make!

I have purged all Gacha/ Daily tasks for video games from my life! After grinding for a month in Star Rail only to get BS in the relic farming department over and over again, I decided to quit this life altogether. It’s not healthy for my productivity, even if those tasks took 10 minutes to do. For those interested enough to know the strongest reason for me stopping those things in particular, you can click the thing below to read.

Reasons For Quitting

My reason for quitting is the whole RNG tied to the relic system, but my other much stronger reason is the fact that the game is never going to… achieve its full potential. Star Rail opened my eyes to a lot of the predatory things these games do while completely withering their core mechanics which made them fun in the first place.

The game constantly limits you on how much fun you can have in the game, because having too much fun means you will be satisfied with the game, that leads you to stop playing. That can’t happen with a Gacha game, so they design their game and minigames to never give you that satisfaction. Everytime I was enjoying something in Star Rail, the thing was already over. So back to 1 month+ for the next fun thing.

The story is also a monster, that constant need to introduce a new character and make them relevant to the story is terrible. I’m sure the current Amphoreous story is good, I heard good things about it. But I’m just tired of having to 100% care for a character that won't be relevant in a month because they were the special toy this month. The whole “I’m friendly and love to you because you are the main character” also makes this whole thing worse, you can’t have different characters because they all have to love the Gacha MC so the company can make more money.

This might sound like burnout, and to a lot of people it probably is. I’m just tired of this constant need to keep playing these types of games everyday or I’m going to fall behind or be missing out. Oh, sorry, I used the wrong word in that sentence, I meant to say “pointless busy work” instead of “playing” because that's all that is..

So I decided to just say “Screw it then!” and abandon this life all together, it was never healthy to begin with.

From now on, I’ll play games for how much time I want when I want to, not when I’m told when and what to play. Having gaming as a hobby, not as extra work, as things should be in the first place!

So that makes 2 modern people problems that I have solved from my life! First was doom scrolling, which was permanently solved after Twitter was temporarily banned in Brazil. The second is this Gacha/ Dailies thing!

I already feel productive after uninstalling Star Rail!

But anyway, back to the segment!

All the writing parts related to Return to the Stars (Previously known as “Crashed Club") is 100% complete. I went through the entire doc and fixed the MANY writing quirks & typos, as well as add some stuff here and there for some flavor. Over this week and a bit of the next one, I’ll be putting everything on the website!

I’m also working on a silly secret page that will have a lot of things you can interact with!

Instead of trying to describe what it is, I’ll just show the incomplete page:

Work in progress stuff!

But if I had to describe it, I would say it's a page full of obscure references, secret hints, more links that will have different pages and some other funny things that might be nonsensical. I don’t have a time limit for this page, I’m treating this one as a fun side project I can come in and out whenever I want. So you won’t see this page for a good while!

That does it for now. My plans for this month is to have Return to the Stars fully added to the website by the end of this week, and start writing for Phoenix Club after the next blog update, I got some good ideas for that story now.

Here’s a drawing I made by the way:

“This is my neutral special!”

Here's this small pixel I did in Wplace:

I'm surprised this Pudd survived so many days on this chaotic canvas anyone can use!

LIFE UPDATES

Undertale Yellowish!

Took a little bit but I finished it! + I have a fully formed opinion on it too!

Undertale Yellow is a very good fan game. Not giving spoilers away, I really like how the game ties in with Undertale and the concept of Justice that the yellow soul tied to. This fan game focuses on telling a more normal proper story without much involvement of the meta narrative that Undertale focuses on and I think the game excelled on that front! I thought the story was pretty good!

R.I.P. to the sentient program.

After finishing the pacifist route, took a look at the other route the game had to offer, mainly the genocide one (It’s a Undertale fan game after all…). I didn’t replay the game for this, I watched someone play it.

I liked what they did where these two paths show the concept justice but for different sides. Pacifist is justice for the monsters, while genocide is justice for the humans. Although that final scene with Asgore was too over the top, like come on guys, that was edgy teenager fanfic territory.

The game has fantastic graphics and animations, the story is good and the OST is spectacular. There’s not much else for me to say. If you liked Undertale, you will probably like this game. But I would recommend you to play with an open mind because it’s not just “Undertale but again”, it’s something new.

I do still wish they incorporated the shooting mechanic as a core one combat though. I think battles and bosses would’ve been more fun that way but oh well, the shooting mechanic is used at least!

Barbecued Bolts on the House!

A new TF2 Mann Vs Machine community event is here, and as the avid MVM fan in the room, I’m going to talk about it!

This one is hosted at Potato.tf and it’s called Operation Bolted Barbecue!

Shotgun Heavy ready for battle.

Features custom maps and campaigns (obviously), custom upgrades, custom weapons and even the return of contracts!

I’m really happy for that last addition, contracts was something they did on one of their early operations and it was super fun! They are basically challenges that you can complete while doing a MVM mission in this operation. I don't plan on completing all of them because some are insanely hard but it’s all fun! They offer no reward other than brag points anyway, but I’m having a lot of fun trying out different playstyles to complete them. Actually, I’m having a lot of fun trying out these styles in general!

The custom upgrades they have available really expands what you can do and allows so many playstyles to be viable. I had a lot of success playing as: Money collecting spy, bow and arrow sniper, pipebomb demoman, shotgun heavy and so many others!

One lone sentry...

I'm half-way through completing all the missions, and thankfully we have until October to complete everything.

I love MVM and I'm glad to have something new to play!

Oh yeah, for those wondering about my thoughts on the official MVM update we are going to get… I don’t have much hope for it. Valve wants to do the minimal amount of work possible on TF2, so I doubt they will do anything more than just maps and missions that will be broken on launch from lack of testing.

Sonic Journey (Sponsored by Miya)

Sonic on a Second Adventure in 3D…

I don’t get it…

I don’t get the praise for the Adventure games…

I played through Sonic Adventure 2 and I had very little fun.

This game is a BIG improvement over the first, now there’s only 3 playstyles and the story isn't a bunch of lines that connect to each other here and there, it’s 2 lines that are intertwined.

This is a weird cutscene, where's the part of moon pissing? is my game broken?

My problems aren’t with the story, I thought the story was good… the issues are with the gameplay…

We have the dreaded treasure hunt stages back again, but this time your radar can only track one gem at a time and there’s a billion places they can be hiding. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that the radar just doesn't work! I had so many instances where I was right in front of a gem and the radar was just doing NOTHING! Only when I collected the gem would it beep for 1 second. The maps being so open and massive also didn’t help, there was another point where I was 30 minutes into a stage, had not collected a single gem and did not see a single beep… I was contemplating on cheating the game, but instead I just looked up a spreadsheet of all possible locations. (I don’t need to tell you how bad this is. Somehow they took a bad mechanic from the previous game and made it worse???)

Never put on your glasses eggman...

The second playstyle is the mech levels, which is basically the E-102 levels where you mark a bunch of enemies and destroy them but these are infinitely longer and less exciting. They are also ear-bleedingly loud.

And then there's the speed stages which were fun, but even then, they had a lot of jank that would get in the way of you going fast and halt ALL momentum.

The only parts I could say was good for sure was the boss fights, they were mostly all fun.

Well, I guess I can appreciate the more ambitious story telling, graphical improvements and the OST being solid. That last one they never miss.

Actually cool moment for sure.

But yeah, I don’t understand the appeal. One playstyle was bad, one was boring and the other was fun when jank didn’t get in the way. At least now I can breath a sigh of relief because I’m going to have some good fun with the games ahead… and surely there won’t be more bad games ahead!

…

A-Anyway!

Here’s how the journey list is right now:

Gold means beaten since last time.

That concludes this segment!

My only plans for this month for this is to start playing Final Fantasy XVI in the near future, and also get more progress on the Sonic Journey.

SONG OF THE DAY

Open Your Heart by Crush 40!

This song was supposed to be added a couple of blog updates earlier, but way too many songs happened that I needed to recommend first. Rest assured that the next song will be from Sonic Adventure 2!

Oh, oh yeah the song! You know the common praise people give to Sonic games, “The OST is a banger”, well, this one is my favorite from that game so here you go!

That all for today!

This month is going to be a very busy one for me, lots of things to do… but ever since I stopped doing dailies and playing gacha games, I felt super productive so I’m perfectly okay with this pace!

See you next time, Internet Traveller!

Have a nice day!
